Am I Evedicted?

Hi guys

I realized about 2 Weeks ago that my Subscription has ended...I then thought...should I resubscribe? Yes I do!

Now...I have a really strange feeling, I feel really weird about Eve Online...

The thing is that I wanna play the game, but I have had not the chance to really get into the game like I wanted to the past weeks. I make myself a goal that I will play Eve Online tonight...then nothing happens..reason is that I don't wanna do missions on LVL II over and over again in fear that it could bore me and I may not play the game any further and lose interest.

Now the good thing for me is that I see Eve Online differently then to any other MMO game like SWTOR or WOW.
It feels different..I wanna indulge myself into far reaches of space, wanna explore new places and just have fun, but...I need a Corporation...I need a good Corporation that is willing to help and push me.

Everytime I watch those Eve Trailers I feel emotionally compromised and to all other mates I tell them that Eve Online is the best MMO Game out there and for me even the best game ever...but weird thing is that I am still actually a rookie or noob or whatever you wanna call me and I didn't play that game that often lately at all...weird.

I speak in the best words about Eve Online, actually so much that I think I am in love with Eve Online despite actually not giving myself a kick in the butt and start to play this game again.

So what is it I ask myself that keeps me around Eve Online, but I actually don't have the "guts" to play it?
I got Wallpapers on my Work Laptop that changes Eve Online Wallpaper every 1 Hour.

Am I in Love? There is just something holding me back...maybe because I just don't wanna disappoint myself while playing it.

Now....

To all those here who read this complicated and mysterious message, I ask you if you willing to help me, taking the next step or bringing me into a corporation that is trustworthy and giving me a recommendation or something, I am sure I'll accept that and give it a go.

The weird part is I have no clue as to how I now just wrote this this Post. I have no bad intentions, no serious injuries...I am just full of Energy and just brainstormed my feelings for Eve Online.
I could go on and on about it, but I need to stop now...

Regards
WinterCon

A good way of meeting people, is shooting at them, fit a bunch of frigates and head to a low-sec system with some activity (that might be a difficult to find at first), get blown up a few time and become familiar with those living there, this might be your chance to find a good bunch of people to join if you're not risk-averse. Shooting people is highly addictive and fun.
Do take the time to investigate on the corps though, as making a bad choice can be a painful experience.

Not really with my Ship...it is far to weak to handle such fights...

Besides I would need to find them at first and then ask questions later.

Glad to see you're enjoying Eve! Welcome!

There are some of us with corps dedicated to helping newbies out, and with a good track record and exciting goings-on on top of that. You just need to look harder and take some risks.

And with that you took the most important step in your eve career.. trust no one.. make friends but expect them to try and stab you in the back at some point. Carry a bigger knife for that day.

Join a player corp but until you find one, meet the locals wherever you are and get to know them.. until you join a corp, they are probably your best source of socializing. Most people in this game will try to make an ISK at your expense but will also offer advice and conversation in the process.

It's an obsession at this stage... judging by the way you wrote the OP and the care you took to answer each and every one of the people that replied. This thread, I feel, is just an extension of your changing desktop wallpaper and yet another way you can stay connected to the game whilst not actually playing it.

So to answer your question, no, you are not 'evedicted'... yet.

Hi Guys

Thanks for those many answers.

I got 2 emails, and 1 email got me a bit thinking really...

Writing here something bears always a risk for myself that I could be a target to someone since I don't know yet that much about the game.

He wrote something weird like this here in the end:

(oh yeah, since i have contected you through the rookie help forum it would be illegal for me to scam you via this contact, so come out and play in confidence.)

So I just replied as in: "Ah, ok".

I do like to take my time to reply to those who gave me some feedback or answers to my questions.

cheers Petrus

I never actually stopped enjoying Eve, although I must say I play the game far to less.

Nonetheless what I'll do is and I got no Problems with that, even though I may not be playing the game day in and out or very often ( I do want to try harder, to get into Eve) I want to support CCP with my Subscription Fees.

I kinda like those guys and girls who came up with such a great game to which I still have to explore and conquer.

That is actually something I have been doing for the past months. Since most of my skills are on 4...going up to 5 is taking sometimes several days, so that is alright with me. I love this offline skill leveling, an amazing thing that CCP has! :)

Now I just need those 2 tools, and make myself a new ship. right now I own the Caracal, which is not bad actually but I want something better, bigger, meaner.... Shocked

Oh Boy, I just somehow love Eve Online Lol
