Is that fair enough for you Jade?
Or do you just want to outnumber the swarm 50 to 1 to prove a point?

Its a far better solution than the Inferno 1.1 patch proposed by Soundwave.
I have no wish whatsoever to outnumber my opponent, so I'd be quite happy with your solution.

Now we are getting somewhere.

You know, I'd say getting 45000 members as an ally would let you camp VFK undock. I don't know about you guys, but that sounds really exciting.

Even with T1 rookie ships or frigates, it's not something to laugh at.

Not that this'll change anything, I bet...

Well we actually have 46 or so allies currently (a very large proportion are 1 man or a small handful of people outfits) are you really suggesting that these people should be robbed of the chance to shoot back at the goons (who are currently claiming they welcome the attention) simply because your "14 years of game design college" gives you the right to say that things got imbalanced against the attacker?

No, they should be allowed to sit on the jita undock waiting for a moron to undock. And then themselves dock when a GSF roam comes by.

It's how they play EVE.

Unfortunately the actual system is the perfect 2 or whatever few toons corps opportunist system to join some wardec without any other goal than just get free freighters/haulers targets, a combat ship shadow on their back and everyone is dock...

The good news is that goes on both sides but I guess most of those have their assets safe in NPC stations...and those are not destructible (yet) Lol

14 years? My daughter has been a gamer as long as that. Amateur.

I am 22 years old in 9 days.

Wait, that makes 16 years, I started when I was 6.

Holy **** I've been doing this for so long that I lost count.
Sweet!

Keep the allies for the defender free, but limit them both to the maximum number of attackers.

For example, A is the attacker, D is the defender.
A has 9000 members.
D has, say... 1000 members.

D is allowed to recruit exactly 8000 more players worth of corporations OR INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS THAT SIGN UP ON A LIST SIMILAR TO THE ONE IN THE CALENDAR INTERFACE (brand new idea).

On the other hand, if A and D both have 9000 members, D cannot call in any more allies.

Is that fair enough for you Jade?
Or do you just want to outnumber the swarm 50 to 1 to prove a point?

Now you just need to convince 9000 goons and 7000 test that Eve's wardec system should have escalating consequence to the aggressor rather than just exponentially escalating costs to the defender.

No, you have to convince CCP.

I don't feel like working for my free wartargets in empire, I'll lay that on you, the leader of market hub undock campers, to do it for me. Do your best (^___^)/

It's fine, that's how stations work. Idiots who undock freighters or even (nowdays) a hauler without using an NPC corp alt are asking and should lose it. Getting everyone into wardecs with everyone else is the way to go.

We need a site, where if we see a freighter undock that isn't in an NPC corp, we post the corp name and someone makes a new altcorp to wardec it.

If we work together, we can *all* make use of the wonderful NPC corps. Also due to how corp taxes work, miners don't need to be in corp either (don't lose isk to the NPC corp). Given the bounties on hulks, being able to get a dec on some hulks and blow them will will get you the 100mil/10 exhumers, so that might be a good springboard to get the community working to wardec miners.

Oh, and I forgot about the ISK sink CCP wants.

That can easily be fixed by having a flat default minimum "ally tax" that is deducted from the transaction in which the recruited ally gets paid.

So if you pay your ally 100 mil per 2 weeks, a part of that goes to CCP as tax (per ally, depends on what you negotiate with each ally).

If you pay 0 to the ally as part of an agreement, or under a minimum threshold set by CCP, to avoid exploits where you pay just 1 mil on purpose to basically evade tax, you still have to give CCP a minimum of 5-10 mil by default (per ally every 2 weeks).

Good?

I think that, along with my other suggestion, will make everyone stop complaining.

War isn't supposed to be fair - Soundwave.

If you find yourself in a fair fight, you've done goofed - General Eve consensus

So stop making it fair CCP. Scrap these changes.

The proposed solution (in the pre-lock, healthy discussion that was taking place here) sounds great except for the part about setting a limit on allies. There shouldn't be ally limits and neither should war be designed as cost-prohibitive. Conflict should be encouraged. CCP is doing more than fixing the forever wars and unlimited allies with 1.1. They're making it highly unlikely a patchwork coalition could ever form with sufficient numbers to take on a mega-alliance. For all the talk of conspiracy, no one seems to notice. Exponential costs are prohibitive by design. How is that OK?
