Raising Amarr standings without hurting Minmatar

I'm sure this has been answered somewhere else already, but apparently my forum and google search skills are poor today.
Is there any way to raise Amarr standings without dropping Minmatar at the same time? I think event agents used to do this but don't any more...or am I wrong on that?

You could always do courier missions.

The simplest way is to run missions for Amarr for a bit and then switch over and do some Min ones. And always decline the ones against empire factions.

Also, go looking for DeMichael Crimson's Faction Standing Repair Plan.

Check out the standings repair plan linked above - It's excellent. It describes, among other things, which missions do and don't affect other faction standings.

Running the lvl4 epic arcs doesn't seem to do much bad to other faction standings, but ya can't exactly farm them given that ya hafta wait 3/12 to do it again.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

Yes, epic arcs give positive faction standings without negative for opposing faction. All other mission faction standing gain comes along with loss on opposing faction. You can do epic arcs only once every 3 month, but last time I checked, the faction standing gain can be shared in fleet.

run amarr missions, dont kill Faction ships, minmitar standing might drop, but it will probably be so small it wont be noticable

Standings gain/loss is a percentage of the amount from your current point to 10/-10. If both your Amar and Minmatar standings are positive, the loss may seem bigger than gain, even though the set percentage of gain is bigger than loss. Ex: With both at 8, let's say you gain 4% while losing 2%, it's 4% of 10-8=2, compared to 2% of 8-−10=18. 2% of 18 is bigger than 4% of 2.

As was posted earlier in this thread, the Epic Arcs is what you want. Social skills will help increase the amount of standing needed for access along with the amount gained for completion.

If you can safely enter all Empire Factions space (above -5.00 Faction standing), complete the level 1 SoE Epic Arc for Amarr to gain at least +7.00% base standing increase.

After gaining -2.00 Amarr Faction standing for access, complete the level 4 Amarr Epic Arc to gain at least +10.00% base standing increase.

Repeat every 3 months.

I am running lvl4 missions with my amarr alt to bring mine up. once i got just slightly below shooting range anyway. Lol
