What's clear Is there is a tendency for some eve uni members to forget why they have joined the uni. The comments on their kill board alone show how their views/thoughts have changed. No longer good fun but instead - "I got tackle and then we brought in the rest and destroyed him" (thrasher killed). the bias in their posts is also not surprising. I will say I am impressed with a few who seem to be taking an objective view on the matter.
This war is/has escalated by both sides. Ransm have no issue with eve uni - it's blob or the ECM used. We are just looking to have fun. It is now the case (forced by eve uni) that we must coordinate mass fleets to engage. Again - not a problem. The Molden Heath inhabitants have a strong community with invite only forums/channels and these are now alive with the sound of blood.

I am looking forward to opening a dialogue with Darion as it appears he has common sense but above all - is looking for the same thing we all are. Good fun.

Best summation of what lead to the current situation really.

It's simple. Blob already existed - we're used to fighting these so no real issue. Blob started getting tickled by local pirates in places they didn't like so they started hugging the teets of the local stations and gate guns. Pirates said "Fk ur teets" and removed that tactical advantage. Unistas responded with dog-piling their pre-existing blob with moar blob + ECM.

Pirates have essentially shrugged and laugh. We will continue to laugh to the UNI's tactics as 1) we're not unfamiliar with this tactic, & 2) its defeating the entire purpose of what the Uni claims to have moved into Heild for (ie teach small gang, low-sec fighting to younglings). In short, we'll continue to laugh at you because your own tactics are self defeating with regard to your stated purpose in low-sec (you aren't teaching anything of value right now) - we've already defeated you.

Also, noticed Kelduum posted on page one, ending his post with #freemoldenheath. That's our slogan. You can't have it.

You need to go back to the OP cutey. We're not complaining about the blobs, the EWAR, etc. The OP was complaining about the dec on EVE Uni - like we were the ones playing in the sand box unfairly. We've merely posted our reasons for the Dec. No one on this side of the sand box is actually complaining about the EVE Uni tactics. As I said before, we're LUL'ing at them and now you for not understanding what in the world you've just strolled into.

It's a lose-lose situation for the corps down there.

If they don't dec the Uni they have to deal with going GCC, but they may get more reasonable numbers to fight against. If they do dec the Uni they don't have to deal with going GCC, but that means the rest of the Uni is now coming down to hunt war targets.

So it becomes a question of which is worse, going GCC or having even larger Uni fleets?
