More and more of Logitech's keyboards and mice are coming with extra buttons.

Recently there have been changes made to the UI that allowed more key presses.

I'd like to map some of these G keys to those key presses. However when I hit the key while in EvE to map it, nothing happens.

It works in other games, so I know something is working. Doing some searching I can't find anything recent post UI changes. Has anyone gotten these to work? I have the G110 keyboard.

The Logitech G keys are not additional buttons that can be mapped. They need to be given a Macro or a keyboard shortcut. For instance, you can try assigning the G1 key to ALT+R to open the Market window. You can either do this using the Logitech software, or the "MR" key, which is the Macro Record key. I would advise you read through the manual or software guide to get familiar with how to use your keyboard.

I use my G19 extensively. The was a GM post a few years ago about the EULA ramifications of it. Essentially, you can macro anything that still requires you to be at the keyboard. Anything automated is a no no.

You can assemble ships with it, do the usual module sequences etc. If you get creative with window placement within the EVE UI, you can do an awful lot with a key macro.
