So this is a brand new pvp alt, i want to give up carebearing and get into some solo frig pvp. Now, while i know id fly a rifter until i got the hang of everything, im not sure where to go. I could stay in the noob corp and fly solo, i could join some pirate corp, or i could join minny militia. I am new to this, so what do u guys think is the best route?

It depends a bit on where you envision your sec status. In any case, try and find a small/medium sized corp with likeminded people, where you can learn from others (and rage together).
FW or pirate corp - both works. Fit a few frigates and fly around FW space, practice using your d-scan and pay close attention to plexes. There are many fun fights to be found in and around those nowadays.

Next step: Make your pvp alt your pvp main.

Do both, no lack of targets in faction warfare space, be it the opposing militia, or pirates

I've done both, and I liked piracy better simply because FW (at the time) was people blobbing each other in the same two or three systems while running plexes with stealth bombers and frig alts, immediately warping out if so much as a single frig came in. Also, piracy is about shooting anyone you like, not just the NPC-approved side.

Get your isk from your care bear alt and buy some frigs. Just for example; close to Doril border systems

Start mapping out the sourronding systems (safes, bounce spots on gates, scan spots etc)

Get the frigs and start pew pewing. Shoot everything that you can get away with. Example: Kills

Your first weeks will be just watching the humdrum and action of 0.0, learning the do's and dont's.

Eventually start building up ship stashes in different systems, e.g One Drake here one Manticore there etc.
With mods and ammo and other supplies.

I recommend 0.0 since pew pewing at gates is very rewarding for frig pvp, compared to low sec and the mechanic of the homo GCC.

Go into FW for easy isk making. You can still practice piracy by killing anyone not in your faction.

A simple motto to live by: There are no neutrals, only targets.

Agree with the 4-5 others who said both. FW is great for getting into fights, piracy and otherwise. The nice thing about it, is you can use the size of the plexes to control the size of ships involved in the engagement.

Do FW, practice NBSI.

Both work, but being in FW does limit your targets somewhat. So if you go FW I'd recommend flying outside the 'homeland' so if you're Amarr/Minmatar go fly in Caldari/Gallente space. Because you can can shoot your allies without any negative consequences (Minnies can shoot Gallente for example but not other Minnies).

So by moving to the 'other' warzone your suffer the least reduction in targets.

Like many have said, do both. Join a militia and practice piracy under the flag of a privateer. Shoot anything that isn't in your militia and only don't shoot allies when you need their help to shoot bigger targets Pirate
