Hi,
So how does the new Macbook air 13 (cheapest standard model) run eve? Is it able to run it in highest detail (or almost)? If not how will it run eve (tell me your experience if you have one).

I am thinking about getting the new Macbook Air 13inch(meaning Ivy Bridge) tomorrow. Its has a slightly better on board graphic's card (4000 HD). I know it's not a gaming laptop, but I am getting a new game pc soon as well.

At the moment I am playing eve on a Samsung Q210 (nvidia 9200 GS). I have it connected to a 22inch FHD screen with keyboard and mouse. 2 years back I could run 2 clients in window mode each @ 1280*800 (low settings). But today its struggling with just 1 client.
Will the Air be better then the above said laptop or roughly the same?

greetings from out of space :)

I'm running on an older 2nd-Gen mac air (the first model with SSDs) and it runs just fine on whatever the default detail level is. Captains Quarters are painful so I turn that off, but actually flying / fighting is fine.

I have a new MacBook Air 11inch and it is quite happily running the Mac EVE Client...

I wouldn't turn the graphics up to high or go into a fleet battle on it... but for shooting rocks on company time its awesome :)

There is no such thing as a fair fight...

If your fighting fair you have automatically put yourself at a disadvantage.
