Two Inventory Systems - Implement a choice!

We got the Inventory-System nobody but CCP wanted. Now can we have the old one back? It's not that you ripped us of Shipspinning and should have learned? No!

Problem i.E. whats not working and why this is very bad:

# Opening a new Ships Cargo with ALT+C when docked does open the old Ships Cargo! Explains itself.
# Opening Station Containers does so in the parent window, not seperate as used to be. You have Stationcontainers to navigate thru stuff and make everything less messy. Make Shift+click the parent option and normal click the seperate option.
# Loading the Station Interior now takes 6-10 seconds, this is literally ages when reshiping or doing something under pressure.
# Parentwindow still clutters, Shiphangar and Itemhangar are hard to handle seperate.
# Everytime you hit a wrong button you need to open the tree navigation and fix the problem manually.
# New Windows have less space.

There is no single advantage yet to the new system.

Solution:

Implement a choise for people to pick and i guarantee they use the old system and are happy.

Next time, READ the damn Singularty Bug Reports which others an I have filed and read the thread concerning the not working, not wanted and not needed changes you make!

Thank you.

CCP is not going to maintain 2 separate inventory programs.

depressingly, this is very likely to be the case.

Would be nice though. I'm getting very fed up of having to rebuild my orca inventory windows every time I log in. I want to be able to see what's inside all of it's various holds etc. at a glance.

Hitting shift click every time I want an inventory open is also getting on my nerves.

You don't "maintain" anything. You leave it alone and not touch it. Is that too much to ask? Roll back Unventory.Roll

I'm not sure you understand how programming works. There's always stuff that needs to be maintained. As long as they keep changing some areas in the game (such as adding new items), they would keep having to ensure that the old inventory was still compatible with everything.

So do you have any suspicions as to what this new "improved" inventory is supposed to be compatible with? Because it certainly is not compatible with the game as it is now.

A little warning as to this coming "feature" would have been nice.

Patch after patch fixing "issues" until we either quiet down or go away is not.

Frankly I'm of the opinion that either this "feature" goes away or I do, as the game is largely unplayable, and when it is playable, it is cumbersome at best.

Why don't you file a bug report instead of ranting?

Things take time. It took nearly a month to get turret placement fixed on the prophecy model.

Be patient, because they aren't going to go back. On that front, move on, and report bugs if you want things fixed.
