Will this post alone get me banned because someone will state it is inflammatory, or it hurts their feelings?

Who precisely will be the detective, judge, jury, and executioner?

Will it be the new eager "volunteers" that CCP is looking for?
And who precisely will these new forum police be?
I think it would be very enlightening once they are all hired to see EXACTLY what corp/alliance they belong to.
-----Edit-----

Also, will these folks be going back and retroactively start permabanning accounts for comments made last week, last month ,or last year??

It is "finally" a good idea that moderation to personal attacks and the contribution of asshattery of the flaming poster will in fact recieve less toleration by CCP.

There have been far too many persoanl attacks to people, not just CCP employees historically, sometimes involving spam attacks of various disabilities and ongoing campigns of "fabricated" truths that people like to use as political character assassination techniques. Be nice to see more people answering the merits of a topic and post with objective content, rather than just trying to debunk topics or individuals.

Suggest simply employing discernment and appropriate behaviour to your own posting and allow CCP to triage problematic individuals of this nature as a result, since overall I see it as a long overdue correction to a behavoural problem on the EVE-O forums with some aspects of the meta politics.

I am reasonably certain that a certain 9000 char alliance might, just might, be flooding CCP with apps.
But CCP will never give that info out.

You know when you make a post if you're being an idiot or not, and whether it would be acceptable. Dont tell me you really need someone to hold your hand to that extent?

If it makes you second guess, it shouldn't be posted, its not rocket science.

Rumor threads and posts

Rumor threads and posts which are based off no actual information and are designed to either troll or annoy other users will be locked and removed. Players who engage in these type of threads can expect to receive a warning and ban.

first of all, thank you for illustrating the necessity of this rule.

now, listen:
Contrary to public belief MMOs are neither run as republics nor are they governed by any form of constitution (save for the EULA - according to which CCP can kick you out for any reason or no reason at all as long as they give 30 days notice).
All assets, characters, ... you might create in this game exist at the total discretion of your sole despotic ruler, CCP.

You chose to pour years of effort into an autocratic society, the ruler of which you evidently don't trust.

I don't know what process of thinking leads to such behavior - but "stupid" does not even begin to describe it...

Bottom line is, it wont work, people will see a post by sumone they hate or from an alliance they hate and will cite a stupid reason to lock the post and when that person reposts it because he is angry he will then receive a forum ban. The forums will die off and eve will suffer.

Aslong as CCP continue to think the answer is in the player base and not themselves, any idea on this scale will fail.

CCP need to stop this *we dont interfere crap* and start sorting there game out instead of being cowards and *worrying* about people who will nerd rage and quit cause there fav tool no longer works

CCP is doooooooooommmmmmeeeeeeeddddd

@OP

You're thinking it all wrong.

ISD's can close threads, erase comments out of context or whatever but they can't ban you. This is always GM's job so be a good guy and you take no risk Cool

Well, for all the personal attacks on me in this thread, no one answered my question.

Ultimately, do these new forum police, who are Eve players, have control to ban not just a char, but apparently ALL of a player's chars, across ALL their accounts?

Or will they simply pass on suggestions to actual Eve employees, who will examine each situation carefully, before permanently wiping out someone's ability to post?
