Factional Warfare: How much will it cost me?

As long as you shoot PLAYERS you won't lose 0.000001 standings at all and when you get out you can resume your former life.

If you shoot plexes structures or do vs faction missions you quickly lose standings, but that's PvE.

Well, this was the situation when I have been in FW (2009-10) not sure it's still like then.

I have no interest in shooting other players...
I want to bring The Gallente Federation to victory.
I want to push that blue bar all the way to the right side of the screen and have all the dots in the box underneath that be blue as well.

This is my motivation.

Can I do it?

You will have to shoot faction ships to clear the sites. You will take a standing hit to do it. You either need to accept that your standings with that faction will drop and work to bring it back up or forget it.

My next question is how long will it take and how hard will it be?
Assuming I have unlimited supply of isk and the best ships/fits, how long will it take before I have won the war and beaten eve.

I have Diplomacy trained to level 5, does this mean I can un-enlist at any time and be able to travel anywhere in high-sec uninhibited?


Only as long as you stay above -5.


What is the cheapest, least costly way to participate in and enjoy factional warfare? (ie What Ships/Fits/Activities)


The new frigate rebalancing is going nicely. Nothing cheaper than a frigate with some guns and flying out there!


What happens if I get pod killed and sent to a station that moments later is no longer friendly? Can I still upgrade my clone or jump clone or set a new home station?

That's a good question. I'm not sure what happens to skill clones in enemy stations!


As a 1 girl army, how much can I expect to make iskwise?

I have spent 40 mil on 5 frigates and shipped them all to a high sec neighbouring system to my Faction Warfare playground. These 5 frigates are capable of semi afking minor/normal/major sites. Since Incarna went I live I have made about 2.6mil LP.

TL:DR; FW is the new low input max isk return game in Eve get in before its nerfed.

PS If I see Xenuria in my FW militia I will shoot purples.

While shooting down enemy navy ships in a FW complex will give you a standing hit, capturing the plex will not. Simply speedtank them to capture the complex.

Yes, FW is that broken and everything can be speedtanked.

You can try it on test server. Here is the sequence:

1) get into enemy system;
2) use on-board scanner to find plex beacons;
3) warp to plex - you'll see either gates with restrictions (minor or standard plexes) or beacon itself (for major plexes) - enter gates if needed;
4) there will be rats and "button" - you can ignore rats and fly in circles around the button. Depending on plex size you have to fly for 10-20 minutes with maximum radius 15-25km (there will be countdown timer on interface - if not you are too far);
5) 10-30k LP in the end (divided by amount of players around), faction dogtags (if you shot rats), some faction status boost;
6) ????
7) profit.

How much effort would it take to win the war against caldari?

What happens when the war is won? Is there some kind of huge system wide announcement about how Xenuria single handedly defeated the caldari or does it just sit there at 100% until it goes back or another expansion comes out?

I was not referring to low sec. If I am in dodixie and I am in the Gallente militia, can other people in the same militia shoot at me or aggress me?
