Problem with Ice Harvesters

Im sure others have the same problem, My cycles dont end and when i manually end it my cargohold fills up.

any solution or is it just a bug

I've heard a rumor that a lot of ships are explooding when using ice harvesters...

yea i noticed that bug as well. sometimes it will just keep cycling and saying 0 cargo, then over fill on the next cycle. sometimes it will only give have the cargo capacity as well. for example it will say only 2 units of ice entered the cargohold but theres actually 4 and will only appear if you cancel the new cycle or let it over flow again.

your cargohold fills up with what? Ice?
Restarted? Cleared cache?

You can bugreport it too. Though i'd recommend being a little more detailed about the actual problem ^^

The ice Harvesters will keep cycling but not dump the ice to the cargohold. If you manually end the cycle your cargo is fill. so you could lose alot of cubes.

its seems to be very random. Clear cache or restarting did not fix the problem.

I will bug report it later so.

We've seen a lot of reports of Ice Harvesters overloading and exploding over the least few days. You should check in with your local ORE clinic and get the new ice harvester control chip installed.

I've seen this bug for quite awhile. I run multiple accounts to ice mine and it usually will happen to a random miner at varying times at some point during the day. I have no idea why it does happen, but it's certainly annoying.

The one where it shows no ice at all each cycle usually only happens when you turn your lasers off and then back on quickly.

What system are you harvesting in? Some star systems are on nodes which are having issues, if you let me know the system I can help you determine if you're on an affected node.

Which bot do you use? I've heard of one that has this bug.

Lag or packet loss maybe. Just a wild guess.

Had the bug a while ago, after clearing cache never had the bug again.
But it took 1,5 year to get the bug at first.

This is a old bug , a couple years at least by now.
So the solution is to pay attention.
The lasers make a nice sound now whenever they cycle.
Look at your hold if there isn't 4 pieces of ice in there manually cycle them, and they will appear.

Not really a big deal if you are paying attention.
