SO, I recently returned to the game and I reactivated one of my old characters to help out with the new one. She has about 6mill sp and her drone skills are her best. I wanted to get her into a Myrmidon and so I've been playing around in EVEHQ but I'd like some advice if the community would be so kind.

What do you think?

Don't bother with the Sentries. 3 of them do as much damage as a full flight of Hammerheads anyway. Plus you'll have T2 Hammerheads in like a week so T1 sentries might as well go out the window. Also Scout Drones all have amazing tracking so a tracking computer isn't your best bet here. Drone Navigation Module will allow Medium Drones to catch faster ships and switch targets faster. 2 is best you'll rarely need to run both repairs on lvl 3's. EM Therm and Kin Therm Missions fit a second Drone Damage Mod instead of the explosive hardener.

As for Sentries when you got the basics, T2 Scout Drones, Drone Interfacing IV start skilling up the T2 versions before you grab a mission Domi They are miles ahead of T1. Get the Domi to IV Fast and don;t bother with Large Hybrids besides basically getting them until you have T2 Sentries. That is where pretty much all your DPS is.

I prefer ACs on my myrm and have a web instead of the link, but yours looks good enough for missions. I would drop the sentries though, I think they are more for use against BSs anyways. I'd probably go with mission specific hardeners or two EANMs and a DCU if I was being lazy, but that's just me.

Looks quite good. Keep that tank to start with and then swap in a second drone damage mod when you can.

As said drop the sentries they are useless on L3's.

As long as you are able to kill the webbing frigate and spider drones first, you should not take much damage with an AB on. Result should be a solid L3 runner.

Only think i would say is step up to T2 drones ASAP, then T2 resist mods, and drop down a level on your rails if you run out of CPU, and swap the omni for a drone nav computer, Omni's are really only good for sentry drones

Here's an T2 fit, something like this is something i'd go for

[Myrmidon, New Setup 1]
Medium Armor Repairer II
Armor Kinetic Hardener II
Armor Thermic Hardener II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Drone Damage Amplifier II
Drone Damage Amplifier II

10MN Afterburner II
Cap Recharger II
Cap Recharger II
Cap Recharger II
Stasis Webifier II <- Or whatever else you might find usefull, possible a cap recharger if you're cap skills are lacking

250mm Railgun II, Antimatter Charge M
250mm Railgun II, Antimatter Charge M
250mm Railgun II, Antimatter Charge M
250mm Railgun II, Antimatter Charge M
250mm Railgun II, Antimatter Charge M
250mm Railgun II, Antimatter Charge M

Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I <- With good cap skills, you can exchange this for a nanobot accelerator for a little better tank
Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I

Hammerhead II x5

Of course you can use t1 meta versions of everything if you can't use the T2 version.
4 lowslots for tank (3 mission specific hardeners + med repper) should be enough to tank the missions

My experience with a Myrm is that if you've got Scout Drone 5, you'll only need one Drone Link Augmentor, because there's no real point in having your drone control range exceed your ship's lock range (about 65km on the Myrm with good long-range targeting skills).

And like the people above said, Level 3's don't generally call for sentry drones - my common fit was two flights apiece of light and medium drones.Once you can fly Tech II drones, they make all the difference in the world, especially if you've got the Battlecruiser skill trained up to boost them with the Myrm's bonuses.

Cookie cutter armor myrmidon fits are already recomended but another alternative to the myrmidon is the shield one! With the new drone damage amplifiers it really rokhs!

Proper passive shield tank. Can change a large shield extendert with a stasis webifier or an afterburner if you have good capacitor skills. 547 omni tank with 2 invulnerability fields. Your worst enemy, sanshas blood are at 441. It's kinda over tanked for level 3s, because better safe than sorry. Remember that peak recharge on your shield is at 30% so if you drop that point, GTFO! When you feel ok with your tank drop an SPR for a DDA.

Due to low skill( strongly recoment both energy management and energy system operation to at least level 4) you may run into capacitor proplems. If so, change a Shield power relay with a Power Diagnostic system. When you got good cap skills get that afterburner. All V cap lasts for 20min, 10 min with afterburner. Close one or both invus when the incoming damage is low to save cap.

Drones are one set of thermals for everything exept angels(yea, get t2 scout drones u slacker!) along with an explosive for angel rats. 2 Drone damage amplifiers to raise up your dps. 329 all V dps (you will have around 200) which is also an overkill for level 3s.

High slots: I choosed some meta autos because myrmi does not have a weapon bonus(exept drones ofc). Autocannons are cheap at fitting and the best choise for close range. You can use them to destroy frigate size rats while your drones work on cruiser. Also capless, which is good for passive shield tanking. Alternative options include: Remote armor repair to rep your drones, Small tractor beam to get mission containers, drone link augmentator for more control range on your drones. Really, high slots are upon your preference and usually just add to your drone damage.

As for recomended starter skills to fly this setup(won't list prequiste for the T2 modules or fitting skills that you should have):

Drones:
Drone to level 5
Combat drone operation to level 3.
Drone sharpshooting, drone navigation, drone durability to level 3.
All race specilization(eg amarr drone specilization) to level 2, gallente and minmatar can go to level 3-4.
Drone interfacing to level 4
Scout drone operation level 5 for awesome t2 drones.
Engineering:
Energy management level 4
Energy system operation level 4
Shield management level 4
Shield operation level 4
Last but not least: Battlecruiser level 4

^^ That above fit is almost overtanked for l4s...^^^

OP Can run with a basic 4 or 3 slot tank and 2-3 drone damage augmentors for l3s with a drone nav computer and 5 guns.
For shield use 4 drone link augmentors and 2 relays.

Thanks everyone for your input!

After looking at my Gallente pilots skills, she is a better Shield Tanker than Armor...

So I've gone with the Shield Tanked Myrmidon listed above with some minor variations due to skill and whatnot.

She'll be in a T2 tank and T2 Drones in just a few days! Cant wait!

does dropping a spr get you cap stable with ab running? if yes I'd probably add another drone damage amp, if not try a power diagnostic to get cap stable. keeping up speed can drop incoming damage a lot, as well as get you places faster.

also eft says you get a bit better tank going 2x lse 2x invlun, rather than 3x lse 1x invlun.

anyways this is how I'd fly it (sticking with arty)
