I fail to see what getting that threat locked is what any Goontard would want. After all, they started it. If anything, keeping that topic open and having it go to 1000 pages (with 90% being the Goontards) would be more to their liking.

That said, I probably don't "get it". And thank goodness for that.

Why did they close the thread? Why not just trim off-topic posts and tempban people who were off topic?

You're right, the whole reason EVE has been unique and has survived longer than most MMOs isn't because of the ability of one alliance to crap all over whoever they want.

Of course it's good for the game. Look at the situation as it stands right now? Peace and prosperity (relatively speaking). Takes me back to when BoB was in their full glory, kicking the poor simple goons in the teeth (along with a lot of alliances). What bullies!

A lot of Eve had a common enemy and some people really put a lot into the game, if not for their own personal gains or glory just to stick it to BoB! To stick it to T20!

ISK is too pointless of a reason to log on daily. But, to crush a group of miscreants? Now you're talking my language.

Just a fair warning guys. Even telling someone to judge a post by the content in that post instead of simply looking at the author is grounds for a forum ban under 'Personal Attack'. Seems to be dependent on if you are speaking out against anyone in the CFC or not though.
