WHO PLAYS EVE ONLINE AND CHOOSES TO MINE? MINING. REALLY? YOU LOG ON TO A GAME AND MINE. IS THAT SIMILAR TO THOSE WHO PLAY FARMVILLE?

Someone please explain to me why anyone would ever choose to do something like mine in a video game...

Seriously, please explain.

Lol

This "I-don't-understand-your-gameplay-style-so-you-must-be-doing-it-horribly-wrong" attitude gets old after a while. So you don't like mining....so what? Doesn't mean other people don't. Do you like pork? Not everyone feels the same about that either.

As said before, mining allows you to chat with friends, browse forums, read, or do other things.

P.S. More caps makes you cooler, just like ingame. Roll

What is the point of coming to the forums to write this? Are you trolling?

I get about 200m a session when I mine. I could earn that in other ways but mining is semi-passive income. That is to say, you have to pay attention a bit but you can do something else at the same time. This is actually the joy of mining. You don't have to give it your full attention.

Thanks for reading.

It´s game where capsuleers play different roles.

Miners are the ones who work and build this universe, while you play the role of worthless garbage dumped in Amamake.

According to a CCP survey

http://eve-files.com/dl/255173

Over half the players somewhat like or very much like mining. These are the same sort of people who like fishing, or playing golf. Both are very quiet, relaxed pass times, and both are far, far more popular than any computer game. But that is the sort of person who lies to mine: One who wants a relaxed activity that slowly but surely accomplishes something.

Hello are you that stupid mcfly One can mine on one account and still play on another. I actually mine on one account and haul on another while I pvp on another so mining is not boring and helps pay for the other accounts and thats all I have to say aobut that.

On a side note to OP please research professions in eve before you post insults to them on the forums it usually prevents you from looking like a dushebag whoops to late.

If mining offends you so much...feel free not to buy ships that don't have any minerals in them from mining. Not sure how many things you can kill in your pod...but it would be fun to try. GL

What I don't get is why people do it in the first place (I.e the OP). I guess maybe trolls don't realize they are trolling. I don't see the draw in it otherwise. Is it like laughing at your own joke that no one gets but you?

This thread looks like trolling attempt. Posts of this nature are disruptive and do not contribute to the sense of community we want for our forums.
