Hallo,

I was reading about that there gone be more destroyer type ships made.

And was wondering if there is gone be a destroyer class scanning ship?
Frigates get the scanning job done, but then there is the salvaging, code breaking, analysing, killing the rats. So sometimes you have to refit your ship or even get a other ship to do the job.

If we had a destroyer class scanning ship with frigged dps/tank and the ability to fit salvager, codebreaker, analyser and have a scanning bonus than the explorers job would be a bite easyer.

Grtz,

Hint: You're not required to probe in a probing-bonused ship, it's just a bit of a crutch for inexperienced people with low skills. You can already explore in a destroyer just fine with a bit of practice.

However, I've found AFs to be superior to destroyers for exploration, since they have enough tank to run 3/10 and 4/10 sites (a destroyer would melt in those).

Navy cruisers are a also quick way "skillwise" to get to useful ship options that can potentially be used as omni task explorers before the drive to Strategic cruisers or teamwork in the higher class DED sites or escalations.
