Need redesign mining drones

I think so. They are very old, like from classic-client. Them need change. They must be: industrial, tech, with the searchlight (imho). They must look like laser-drill excavating machine with jet, but not like now - overgrown-pond skater.

i actually agree with him, mining drones look more creature like then an industrial tool

CCP showed a picture of a mining 'fighter' some time back. I think it looked somewhat like the new ORE Frigate but I could be mistaken. It had a very similar style at least. I wonder when we'll get those new salvaging drones that were discussed. They could at least use the same model, maybe with a different skin for now.

Interesting idea!

Possibly they might consider more variety in mining drones too.

Possibly a heavy version that mounts a scaled down strip mining tool.

+1 Supported! Was looking at them as i mined earlier today and they are in desperate need of a new design!Sad

If they get re designed i think the color schemes should be different for the tech level of the drones. The tech1 drones should match the mining barges colors, and have the tech2 ones match the exhumers colors.Smile

Also, i like that idea of Nikk's. A heavy varient mining drone sounds cool.Smile
