I have a question about scanning, I seem to be having a problem, that makes no sense, but I am sure there is away around.

I have a hi sec signature scanned, I get it at scan radius , I centere my 7 probe shape (center,NESW, top, bottom) on the red dot pull into radius 2 and boom it disapears, I wiggled the shape around, the shape moved the centre peice out, used different size spheres, but nothing will let my resolve above 22%.

One note the sig appears to actually be two really closely spaced sigs under some scans.

So what the hell is going on.

It sounds like you may have to change your scan settings. They may be defaulted to igmore cosmic signitures which means one they hit 25% and you could tell the type, they "disappear" in that they are filtered out. This problem happened to me a while back and it is an easy fix. Check your scanner settings and go from there.

Check your scanning filters. The boxes for radar, mag, grav, etc. are probably unchecked. You have no problem scanning things up to 25%. Once you get past 25%, however, the signature can be classified and, if it is being filtered out, disappears.

make sure your filter is set to all signatures. Or once you get the ID on the sig it will auto ignore it.

I use a scan filter that gets the Grav, Mag, etc just no unkown, does that mean they are unknown (that is wormholes right?)

Not always. Some plexes.

That is, all non-Ladar combat plexes are unknown. Rated, unrated, drone, and pirate. If you're not doing those, fine (and more for me!) and yes you'll also filter out wormholes. But if you have any interest in them, check unknown again....
