Kryptonians are smarter then then the empires of EVE. At least that's what I got from that.

Actually, space camo makes perfect sense. All of your targeting is done by radar/IR/whatever, so it doesn't matter one bit how you paint the ship. It's pretty reasonable to think that some manufacturers would use a camo pattern, whether it's because they just like the way it looks (like people now put camo patterns on all kinds of stuff that will never be used to hide something), or to honor a certain military unit that used the pattern, or whatever.

The problem with CCP's art choices is that they're using bad space camo that looks worse than the old skins it replaces.

I used to think the Minmatar shuttle was the coolest looking ship in the game.... Cry

That is why we have grown to accept that Navy/Fleet Issue ships have camo. But now every single T2 minmatar ship has camo, irregardless of manufacturer. It just doesn't make any sense.

Space. It seems to go on and on forever. But then you get to the end and a gorilla starts throwing barrels at you.

But navies operating on the high sea don't use camouflage, because it's worthless to them, too. Especially now that most targetting is done via radar. The only time you really see camo on ships is when they're specialized for operating near the shores. Maybe when/if we get ships specialized for interactions with DUST (and thus planets), camo would be a nice touch, until then, it seems to me to be both pointless and an anachronism.

How could they remove the square wingy bits from the fleet tempest? That's just silly!

I also loved the police lights and paint scheme of the old Navy comet, twas a lovely ship

The death of the Police Squad Gangs 'twas indeed a sad day. Useless unnecessary change, like the UI Inventory crap.

I liked the old tiger striped Sleipnir. I like the bat wings on the vagabond. The square wings on the fleet tempest. The police light on the comet. The new black paint is a welcome addition. It's better than rust. But to replace The sleipnir's skins with progressively worse skins is starting to hurt. It was the first ship I wanted to fly, and now I might as well fly a cyclone.

If someone craps in your sandbox: 1. Light it on fire 2. Grab your shovel 3. Throw it back at them.
