Heretic Army would like to officially announce Frigfest 2012! This event – a tribute to the glorious frigate class ships and their incredible versatility – will take place Monday, September 17th to Saturday, September 22nd.

This tournament involves six days of frigate on frigate PVP in Amamake Solar System! Everyone is invited to bring their T1/T2/Faction frigates to the belts of Amamake. If you’re new to Eve Online and are looking to learn the basics of combat, fit up a few cheap frigates and mess around with other young pilots participating in the tournament. If you’re a veteran frigate fighter, consider this the perfect place to prove your talents. Corporations are also welcome to swarm the belts of Amamake with frigate class fleets.

-You will lose ships!
-I will lose ships!
-Bring what you can afford to replace, replace it, and come back!
-There are no rules or order, just hundreds of large frigate fights (hopefully with many different corps fighting simultaneously).
-If things seem slow, come back a little later!

Obviously, I am not of such low intelligence that I don't realize that pilots may bring larger and larger ships to pop themselves some faction frigs. If you really feel the need to do this, just know that you will most likely die to a swarm of frigates.

Things we hope to see...
-Every belt full of brawling frigates and gangs of frigates staking their claim.
-Nowhere being truly safe.
-Pilots working together to bring down those who bring larger ships.
-Every talented PVP Corp making a showing in the event.

A killboard has been developed just for Frigfest 2012! All killmails obtained in Amamake using only frigates should be posted on that board! If you want to be considered for the Frigfest prizes, you will post your event killmails on the event board! If you kill something larger than a frigate using only frigates, than that mail also counts.

Frigfest 2012 also has an event channel! This channel will be used during the event to arrange 1v1s, share fits and intel, share killmails, and give those participating easy access to the killboard. Those interested in the event should spread the word by inviting both friends and strangers to the channel!

Prizes will be given out to those who achieve the following during Frigfest:
Top Killer (Solo) – Choice of 1 Faction Frigate
Top Killer (Overall) – Choice of 4 T2 Frigates
Top Loser – 50 Million ISK Monetary Prize
Top Corporation – 100 Million ISK Monetary Prize
Most Creative Fit Frigate - Choice of Succubus or Daredevil
[These achievements will be determined using the Frigfest KB only!]

You mean during the actual Alliance Tournament?

We will have systems in order to protect and regulate the fights.

What about command links? Are they gonna be legal? Is there a way to fight against true soloers (no links, drugs, pirate sets)?

For the first part of the event, links/drugs/etc are allowed. Theres just no way to regulate use of them.

For the alliance tourney, fleets will be controlled meaning links won't be allowed or used.

Expect more info about the rules of the event in the coming months.

I'll be there. I went to a few frigfry fridays -- the first one was awesome, but the next time I went it was empty and my gang died to a few BCs. :(

Yeah I'm hoping with more prize incentives, less frequency, and more notice - this will be much greater than Frigfry Fridays ever was. Spread the word!

Frigfest 2012 is approaching quickly!

Me and other Heretics are working hard to develop the proper rules and prizes for the tournament (when we aren't working on ATX)!

If there are any other frigate enthusiasts out there, feel free to convo me with ideas and concepts you have to make this event as exciting as possible. Also, donations would be fantastic! =]

I'm down to lose some frigs. My first real attempt at solo PvP was throwing half a dozen failfit frigates at a Frig Fry and asking to be podded to save me the flight back to reship.
Now that I'm not the newbie with an all T1 fit, I'd like to throw down with some HA guys again and hope to fair better.
