1. It's June 12th

New forum rules on Tuesday, July 12
reported by CCP Navigator | 2012-06-12T04:08:00Z
We have added two new rules to the forums for EVE Online. The new rules are as follows:

2. The Forum Rules on the EVElopedia doesn't have the new Revised date at the bottom :

REVISED: 05/01/2009

Most recent Revision is JUNE 12 (Not July)

I actually read stuff before I ***** about them... Blink

I don't really have a commentary on the new rules, as Long as I don't get banned for poking fun at Punkturis. Sad

Please don't trash this thread.

CCP Navigator has no need for the proper respsect of Time and Space - after all, he does warp around alot and we all know the effects of warp exposure

If he says its July, then just nod in agreement before backing slowly away.

What are these mystical new two rules?

If I were to take a guess;

1. You must dance around your computer naked to summon the ghost of MITNAL, for MINTAL makes it all good

2. You must not post in a Gerard, Yo or Guy thread. Ever

It really does

I've heard that Nexus Kinnon and Captain Pompous appear too but only during a month without a 'y'

Mitnal didn't need wimpy rules like that. Mitnal would've told us to go **** ourselves and stop whining about crap on the forums.

Damn the Man, Save the Empire, Bring back Mitnal.

I do find it amusing the steps that are being taken when it could be resolved with a little PR training for the blue boxes. As is they seem to think customer service is what you get when you buy groceries.

They can come up with all the rules they want and have all the creative interpretation of what people say and it will still never address the fact that when it comes to PR the blue boxes are still rank amateurs and have a lot to learn. They cite the need for it due to "disturbing trends" but the only trend I see is a lack of transparency and a bit of desperation when it comes to damage control.

The advantage of a bad memory is that one can enjoy the same good things for the first time several times.

One will rarely err if extreme actions be ascribed to vanity, ordinary actions to habit, and mean actions to fear.

My main issue is that the rules can be easily taken out of context.

i.e. you just offended CCP devs there.

Or did you? You were somewhat polite. But, you did just say they're incompetent. But you weren't trying to attack anyone, just trying to state your opinion. But it hurt someones feelings. So, maybe they were abused?

That's my main issue with any rule, is how enforceable and abusable it is. Maybe I make a post about conspiracy theory Ponies ruling CCP. I get banned? Etc.

Anyways. I just want the adjustments made. ;p

ccp giving out permabans after they way they themselves post here, is a lot lot giving a kid a bunch of candy, then yelling at them when they get all hyper.

you cant post images, yet another bit of outdated information in the rules
this I also pointed out, but not specifically

tell ya what CCP, I'll revise the page for 2 free months of gametime
that's probably less than you pay your html people on staff and it will be done in about 10 minutes (I can't type to save my life)

Spamming, bumping and pyramid quoting are prohibited.

Spam is defined as the repetitive posting of the same topic or text or nonsensical posts that have no substance and are often designed to annoy other forum users. This includes “first”and “go back to (another game)” posts. Bumping posts in order to keep them near the top of the list is also prohibited. Petitions or "/signed" posts are a version of bumping and likewise are not permitted. Pyramid quoting is a response to a forum thread that contains the quotes of four or more previous posters, sometimes with additional spaces added unnecessarily. Posts of this nature are not conducive to community spirit and are unwelcome.

Really?

devs never post that... Shocked

Srsly just delete the rules and post this:

We are all agreed that your theory is crazy. The question which divides us is whether it is crazy enough to have a chance of being correct. My own feeling is that it is not crazy enough.

And, isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking, but when you're good and crazy, oooh, oooh, oooh, the sky is the limit.
