Warp-Space a separate time continuum of which warp can be sustained across the galaxy at accelerated rates, these lanes intersect in a separate world map.

These warp lanes can be pre designed by powerful space stations and can only be created over such excessive ranges that you must have a exit point origin that you own a way gate.

The warp-space is invisible and only specially modified ship may enter these require shield capable of repelling pure energy plasma and unlike deflectors must be sustained constantly by the source ship rendering it useless for any other capacity other than....

Opening the Warp-space void and travelling..

During the Warp-space venture you find mysterious galaxies floating in the k-space of which you unintentionally exit and thus a whole new set of mid point regions are found of which regular Capital ship's may moor.
