An idea to boost eve players and CCP's WONKA!

So I heard you can make money playing diablo 3 and instantly thought "awesome lets get some of that" but then looked into the game and saw it was a click fest with little interest to me. So that got me thinking, how cool would it be to do the same thing on EVE.

My idea would be, keep the same plex sellers + GTC's etc just add in a simple 3rd step, and that would be that CCP as a company would buy your plex's back off you, at a mark down of course!

Say you buy plex's for £9.99 (havent paid for game time ina while)
then CCP offers to buy that same plex back at a mark down say £5

I know this seems like a really bad idea, but it would help control plex on the market, give vets a little bit of incentive to log in, and all in all jsut spice up the whole game.

Being paid for your hobby would certainly be a nice incentive, I know it would get me back at the keyboard spamming ctrl + leftclick / F1


Troll all you want, but before you do, think..... That new GFX card, why not earn it with some level 5's or some exploration. CCP use "eve is real" as a selling point. Lets take another step into making eve realBlink

Lol. This thread is gonna get some juicy replies.

YOU are paying CCP for the entertainment they provide. Its already a huge bonus that they allow you to pay for this entertainment with their own virtual currency.

By your logic, those who go to the cinema to watch a film should get paid by the people who made the film. What are you smoking ?

CCP already made money off the plex. Why in the world would they buy it back? Just to cut into their profit margin? What exactly would they do with it?

How about when they open "the door" we find out that stations are really a Willy Wonka chocolate factory-like wonderland, complete with an eccentric tour guide/ owner, various moral hazards, and an army of adorable assistants. Instead of a river of chocolate, its quafe, and instead of ompa loompas we'll have exotic dancers.

The moral hazards can be centered around can flipping noobs, afk mining, and various other thing I'm sure. If you fail the hazard you get ejected into space and the exotic dancers perform a number for the rest of us.

Well it would insure a constant flow of more and more people buying them to sell. Ok yes on 1 plex ccp would make a loss, but in the grand scheme they woiuld profit big time. selling something then paying less to make it never exist. Ok yes plex prices may rise, but at the same time CCP would be making more and more from people buying the plex to sell on market, then buying it back for less therfore forcing more players to buy plex
