like black lists of characters and corps which are not allowed to buy from their orders or only with some extra fee or something like that. would be a blast to see the gankers mine their ships for themselves because they got blacklisted from notable indys all troughout eve :)

i like this black list for selling idea. Think about it what that could do to people. Hmmmm i really like this.

There is nothing stopping you from organizing your industrial friends and changing operations to private contracts, effectively banning your blacklisted people.

Oh, but you want your payback to be effortless.

You don't get the free and open market efficiency bonus unless you're willing to accept the free and open part.

Also, Alts.

I think indies do have a mechanism for payback.

I think they are called kill rights and locator agents.

Oh yeah, :effort: we're talking about the AFK iskmaking crowd after all. Roll

Regarding this lolblacklist, why would you not want to take ISK from your competition for profit?

Fit a tank.

Don't carry bulk expensive items, do it in multiple trips.

Basically, fly smart, and think outside the box.

This is dumb, a tanked out hulk or mackinaw can still be killed by a group of gankers very easily.

my alliance lost 5 cats to a tanked hulk in a .7 two weeks ago.

i'm still giving them **** over it.

i moused over this post and the little blurb box appeared.. i saw "hisec should be safe". Really? I am currently a miner, i dont hide that fact i've said it on a dozen threads now. I've lost a barge recently to some kid in a thrasher. It wasnt the end of the world. If you can afford to a hulk, dont buy it, buy 5 covetors. Mine like you would if someone kills your covetor, swap to another. by the time you have lost all 5 covetors, which would take along time unless your at war, you'll have made enough isk to buy another 20 replacements if you want. That or take a month off mining to beef up your shield tank skills the relaunch in a 20k+ hp hulk.

Sure it would be nice if miners could kill back but they cant, the objective for mining now is to either, make your ship unappealing through ehp/tank or fly something cheap to look really unappealing (covetor is great and replacable within a day of purchase)

I hold no love or fancy for the bargebashers but they are making my current interest far more profitable

And, of course, you forget the other side of the coin: What about gankers? Don't they have the privilege of playing their way, just like miners can mine?

Gankers cannot gank in every situation, and neither can miners mine in every situation. That's a fair compromise.

Gankers are forcing miners to change their playstyle to exactly the same extent that miners are forcing me to engage in a playstyle I don't enjoy. Miners are forcing me to pay for the minerals they mine; my playstyle is to get my ships for free.

Your actions influence and are influenced by other people's actions.

Anyway, stop picking two or three words from a post to respond to. I was talking about the market.

I mean, I've been contacted by one ganker. Simple version of the message was that if I don't start ganking mining barges and exhumers he will continuously gank my ships.

Cool. Now you have several options for how to respond to that.

Think so? I don't see gankers really as sharing types. More restless instant gratification type. I was thinking more of Mr. Mittani's detailed gank guidance to Goons, which was made available to the public. I'm guessing ganking has never been so much a part of the game that people worked anti-gank measures inot the various professions guides.

As fond of ganking as Dear Leader has become as of late, I hardly would imagine that he invented ganking. and I'm not aware of him doing any sort of special tutoring on the subject. Some sort of Goonswarm Educational System conspiracy or somethingI wasn't aware of? I've got to hear this one.

Also, to make things clear, gankers share all sorts of information with eachother. I've pulled CONCORD for gankers on occasions when I didn't actually have ganking ships available to me and provided warpins on targets for other gankers. Its all about that crazy "teamwork" and "working together for mutual enjoyment" thing that seems to be so lacking amongst the afk npc corp miner crowd that rushes the forums these days.

What? Hey, you can get paid for ganking exhumers, why does he need to further incentivise you. Not cool.

He's making his own competition.

They never do.

That reminds me, buying a nice big stack of ship scanners for them.

Thanks for the idea.
