This thread is actually entertaining, that's why it's still going :)

Also - how can you tell those poor sods to go mine in 0.0 - there are those scary rats in belts there that you can't tank without wasting a part of your slots!!

Oh, so scary.

Go and fly your kin/therm tanked Hulk to grav site in W-space and check how long it lasts. Free tip: not very long.

high sec is suppose to be a safe zone not a worry about whether or not im going to get ganked while trying to mine for my corp. No i understand if we were in low or null sec mining away yea then by all means gank away but griefing us in high sec is absolutely ludicris. I have watched so many people quit this game because of it. Not to mention the alpha strikers at the gates. I have had enough. if i lose one more ship due to griefers i will quit this game, that will be 30 dollars usd x 12 months out of the year not going to your bank account. so please deal with these griefers. ty.

Is this where I say "not sure if troll", Im old and new to the interwebs lol.

I subscribe to the idea that to get something you give something. I think it was Tippia (and others) who said that every action you take in game affects everyone else, so by taking ANY action, you agree to be acted upon.

Every isk you make lowers the value of my isk. All the ore you mine lowers the value of my ore (if I had any lol) ect ect.

I live in null. I used to complain about afk cloakers till I realized that it was a "counter" to local, and that their were PLENTY of counters I could take (like leaving local and flying around shooting rats in other places lol). I realized that complaining about something rather than doing something about it was weak.

Sure, i'd love to have an anti-cloaking device of some kind and kill afk cloakers, but I accept that afk cloaking is as of right now a part of the (null sec) game.

You shold accept that ganking is a part of empire. Period.

Not from mining. Profits from mining result only in the transfer of isk.

Mission/incursion rewards, bounties and NPC buy orders (blue loot or overseer effects) are the only way new isk enters the game.

This is true. Mining DOES inject more ore into the system.

Yep. You ought to get rid of those people who attack Hulks in high-sec.

gankers are fine. however indys should have some way to get "pay back".

like black lists of characters and corps which are not allowed to buy from their orders or only with some extra fee or something like that. would be a blast to see the gankers mine their ships for themselves because they got blacklisted from notable indys all troughout eve :)

Basically due to unbalanced game mechanics.

There lies the crux of the problem. What used to be a casual once in a while occurrence has now been overly publicized and promoted into a full fledged daily exploit of epidemic proportions.

Nobody's stopping you from utilizing all the various techniques which have been developed over literally all the hulkageddons over the years, which make ganking hulks a much more expensive and hard to execute maneuver.

Interesting. Could some nice person distill all that into anti-Hulkageddon guide for us? Some very precise and detailed gank guides out there, but never heard of an anti-gank guide.

That would be because players that suicide gank are happy to share information and when necessary work together, apparently the people posting threads like this can't be bothered.

Think so? I don't see gankers really as sharing types. More restless instant gratification type. I was thinking more of Mr. Mittani's detailed gank guidance to Goons, which was made available to the public. I'm guessing ganking has never been so much a part of the game that people worked anti-gank measures inot the various professions guides.

erm yea, I never said mining created any isk, if you re-read my post I was talking about how all actions affect the game in some way.
