Never been to a wormhole before but looking to try something new.

What sort of damage do sleepers put out? If i was to use say a tengu, what sort of dps tank would be needed? Can people comment on the dps level of sleepers to their respective classes of wormholes.

Thank you

The above is generally good reading, but much of it won't be relevant to you as someone new to WHs. It's also likely that some of it is out of date, given that it says you need friends for a C3.

Anyhoo, the answer changes depending on where you want to start. A Tengu will do C3 sites solo, but don't just run in there missiles blazing just yet. Everyone likes lists, so here's one of them with some questions for you to answer-

-How serious are you about WHs? Do you just want to check one out to see what it's like, or do you want to make a go of living in one?
-Solo or with buddies?
-Combat/mining/combat & mining?
-Where are your skills invested? Can you fly the Tengu you mentioned?

If you just want to pop into a WH for a brief jaunt then start scanning. If you want to live in there, you need to think about what type of WH you want (not just the class). For example a WH with a hi sec static is convenient for obvious logistical reasons, but it also means you're going to get more visitors who may or may not want to blow you up for pleasure. In contrast a WH with a lo sec static will always be quieter, but logistics can be extremely risky. You'll also need more than one pilot (either 2 accounts, or friends) so that you can find your way back in when you leave. Never assume you can get back in before your exit closes up! That empty lo sec system you popped out in could have a camp by the time you get back, and suddenly your WH is lost along with everything you had in it. There are literally thousands of WH systems, the chances of relocating yours are not good. A pilot that can scan (plus apprpriate ship) must be in the WH at all times. Your combat ship does not count as your scanning ship, because if it gets popped you're ******.

I really only have experience with C3 and a little of C4, but I wouldn't start there. Check out the easier ones first in something you can afford to lose, and D-scan constantly

There corrected it slightly for you Blink

C1-3 sites can be done with a drake passive tanking approx 450dps. The hardest scenario you will run into is the last wave on Forgotten Frontier Recursive Depot which on paper is a little under 1300dps IIRC - for most C3 sites 700dps active tank is plenty enough. Most C1 sites can be done with ~150 passive tank or about 200-250 active (less if your killing them quickly) and C2s somewhere inbetween. (Worst neuting in these classes IIRC is about -30cap/s and generally not more than 10-15).

C4s take it up to another level with some waves putting out 2K dps - but is survivable with a pair of RR T3s due to their small sig aslong as you don't get neuted out. (Couple of waves do -80 cap/s neuting but generally its not much more than C3s).

C5s the harder waves will do 2.5k dps, escalation waves do ~3700 and ~5000dps. (For the most part you can't solo or dual box these with sub-caps, it takes a lot of pimp to comfortably tank it and you need ~700dps just to match the spider repping on some waves). Neuting in the region of -70cap/s.

C6s some normal waves do in the region of 4k dps and if you were to accidentally quad escalate on the wrong wave and all waves went for the same target you'd have to deal with approx. -1200cap/s and over 20K dps :D (where are your incursions now? :P). Some waves will neut for around -200cap/s or more.
