No, all Hulks spawn in Goon hangars. That's why they want to keep their moons. Lol

it's almost like we haven't been the most vocal advocates for a tech nerf since before Dominion was even released

If only we'd advocated for a tech nerf since before then.

If only.

What? Before before Dominion? Don't be silly. Everyone knows that EVE hardly existed back then, and that both Dominion and technetium (and Hulks) were a goon conspiracy to ruin the game.

By the way, a conservative estimate would be that you need to spend roughly 3–4 billion worth of battleships and fittings in order to have a fair chance to blow up one or two properly fitted ships using smartbombs with pre-spawned CONCORD around… and even then, the timing has to be pretty good or there will be a chance to save them.

ISK tanking — best tanking.

That's like one officer mod. Those drop in nullsec all the time.

If you genuinely believe that, why aren't you in nullsec, ninja-ratting?

Posting on this character because apparently some people get upset when they're asked difficult questions. M.

BECAUSE IT'S DANGEROUS OUT THERE.

Except when ragging on nullbears, then it's safer than hisec. vOv

As a miner myself I must say that the gank-fest has reinvigorated the game for me...

I got ganked, several times, AFKing in Hulks...

So I went away...
looked at Dot-Lan... found a nice dead end system with few ship kills...
PYFA'd up a Hulk with 20K EHP to use when things are quiet...
bought a few Covetors to use for max yield during busy times in local...
Actively fly my ship during mining activities... keeping an eye on local/dscan... Staying aligned and moving as much as possible...
Explored some grav sites for mining...

Its not as fun as PVP which I'm now intent on doing as I'll be moving to Lowsec soon...
But its a lot better than the mindless AFK crap I was doing...

Getting blown up is not being griefed... Its a gentle reminder that your doing something wrong...

Bravo, this is what the game is about, using your head and actually finding it more fun when you do.

high sec is suppose to be a safe zone not a worry about whether or not im going to get ganked while trying to mine for my corp. No i understand if we were in low or null sec mining away yea then by all means gank away but griefing us in high sec is absolutely ludicris. I have watched so many people quit this game because of it. Not to mention the alpha strikers at the gates. I have had enough. if i lose one more ship due to griefers i will quit this game, that will be 30 dollars usd x 12 months out of the year not going to your bank account. so please deal with these griefers. ty.

All you need to do is consider how you are operating at the moment and how you can go about making it safer, as far as you can, that is. Hire some Mercs to look after your operation ? There are some very good merc outfits out there who actually do exactly what they are paid to do. Do some research into this.

It does not help you one jot complaining about the normal course of events in Eve. Ganking is a reality you need to adapt to, it is possible to do so.

Im sorry but, maybe im extremely lucky or my fit is good enough, my hulk survived 6 gank attempts now. Maybe you should fit that hulk a little bit better.

A few of those gank attempts where done by more then one dessy at the same time. So it realy is possible to defend yourself against it.

Fit that hulk propper and hilarity ensues. Nothing is more funny then a raging failed ganker in local Cool

Do you know what eve is?
A sandbox.
Not a Theme park MMO.

In fact here is a good article!
EVE 24 Jester trek

High sec is supposed to be "safer" not 100% safe, or else there be war decs, scams, cheaters, ninja salvagers. Know what eve online is, learn the game and play the rules, and the rules are, there are no rules. Watch the "last of the mohicans" and the scene where the europeans are like civil about war and the navtives are all like **** that, they're the enemey **** them up.. yea, thats eve. People make the rules. Cloak and daggers, back stabs, controlling the market, etc.

Hell maybe your mining, and it's driving the market down, and your "runining" someone else's game cus that other person can't sell his wares, well then he hires some goons to take you out. (XD pun intended). Plus if you read the article posted avoid, there is a reason they do it. The more hulks that die, the more money the OTEC makes!

Important note: mining is not a civil right.

Important note: miners are not a federally-protected endangered species.

OP

-Tank your hulk: if you can't fit a decent tank and have max yeld it's probably because the ship is badly designed for his task, however if you choose to not tank it it's something you choose yourself, don't blame others

-standings: use standings to detect possible threats

-mining: don't afk, use your D-scan, don't jet can, mine in groups, gtfo if something comes close that isn't another hulk, change the system you mine frequently, don't mine (mission or trade)

If you're doing everything the other way around, then you can blame yourself. The only thing you can blame CCP is for not being able to give proper tools for your mining sessions (a capable T2 hulk with a decent + yeld than T1 counterpart with enough fittings to have a decent tank/cargo), for everything else it's your game, it's up to you to do something about.

You mean "shoot griefer and get your ship destroyed by Concord"?

Fit a tank.

Don't carry bulk expensive items, do it in multiple trips.

Basically, fly smart, and think outside the box.

This is dumb, a tanked out hulk or mackinaw can still be killed by a group of gankers very easily.

Everything in Eve can be killed by the right ship or ships, whether it's your hulk or a titan. That's the essence of Eve. Dealwizit.

Is this thread still going? Come on, if you don't let it die how can another 5 take its place on page one. Think of the other tears please.

I say this as someone who from time to time, actually mines, AFK, watching sports. Not really afk, or untanked, or often but still. Miner at heart.

Don't ask about Italics, just tilt your head.
