The Like and Get Likes thread should be nuked

It completely defeats the purpose of the likes system without having a dislike button to counter it. Also all lieks gained through that thread should be reversed.

Like system without dislike system completely defeats the purpose anyway.

In fact, ANY popularity-based system defeats the purpose. I could gush over this game and get hundreds of likes, while someone who criticizes the status quo even a tiny bit might end up in the negatives. So you'll end up with a forum full of "yes men". Which doesn't do anybody any good.

The whole like/dislike thing needs to go.

Agree. It's time to start new "get likes" thread to give a chance to new pilots to get more forum karma for nothing than they currently having in the end of that monstrous thread.

Didn't know there was a contest to see who has the most 'LIKES'.

FYI - the 'LIKE' counter doesn't mean anything. When the Dev Blog was posted saying that it was being added to the new forums, I posted against having that option implemented.

Also that thread doesn't really matter anyway. Players can create a bunch of alts and 'LIKE' their own replies in any thread.
