Hey!

As discussed in this thread about changing the rules for Singularity we are now splitting the combat system 6-CZ49 into two systems:
* 6-CZ49 remains the general combat system, where capitals are allowed. The moveme channel is still leading to 6-CZ49.
* PVH8-0 is our new sub-capital combat system with a cyno jammer beacon. The market in PVH8-0 is also seeded, but without capitals. Capitals are not allowed here and any capitals found in PVH8-0 will be moved or destroyed.

Both systems have the same rules (except for capitals) and both systems have combat beacons.

Btw: Please join the chat channel "Singularity", when you are on Singularity. This should make communication a bit easier across the two systems. We (CCP) will also update the MOTD of the Singularity channel with the latest information or known issues.

For the future: We will observe the consequences of this change and will react to it as needed. We have also other changes planned (for example for preventing combat at stations), but these are not ready yet. Please give feedback on this change and feel free to make further suggestions for improving Singularity.

PS: Please read the full test server rules!

Cyno jammer does not have a message yet.
Is there plans to make active cyno jammers a hud icon so people will be more sure it is active Twisted

Think 6-c should be the system with no capitals seeded... Most of people will just keep pewing where the caps are because they have no idea there is a second combat system. Try to take a look at it for next mirror.

My first thought while reading about this change: No more capital blobs in the combat areas!!!! YaY!

I think I am happy with this change.

Here I got all excited because I thought '2nd combat system' meant something geared toward the new destruction animations of ships showed at Fanfest...

as long as sentient beings exist,

I endorse this product or service! No more capblobs and DDrive-bys for people that are looking for subcap pew :)

Y'all turned the system I'd set up my test POS in into a combat system!

It's not causing me any real problems -- I was going to park a Moros in one of my ship arrays, but that's not important.

But I do have a question. You say, No Capitals. Well, according to the market categorization, Orcas and freighters are capitals.

I don't think you mean to exclude those? They're still on the market here. I've got an Obelisk or two in my hangers. And an Orca fits into my Unified Inventory testing, so I'm going to go ahead and buy one -- don't shoot me please! :)

Market categorization is wrong.

Actual definition of 'capital ships' is any ship that requires the skill 'Capital Ships' trained past level one to fly. These are the ones with jump drives and the ones that cannot use stargates.

Freighters and Orcas are not capital ships due to this fact. However, CCP ignored this and classified them as such under the market anyway.

Actually, both orcas and freighters ARE classified as capital ships, simply because their manufacturing process is different than that of the subcaps. Subcaps are built directly from minerals, whereas capital ships are assembled from capital ship components, which, in turn, are made from minerals. And both freighters and orcas are made from capital components.
