Sentry Drone Help Pls.

I am having trouble with using sentries. I was bookmarking in a belt and dropped a Garde 1 and went about my business. A Sansha just pecking away at me. Well the G1 says falloff at 10k opt range 20k. The Sansha was fired on from 7k all the way to past 30k, every Drone shot was a miss. What am I missing here with these Sentries not hitting? I have over 2mill in Drone skills with Sharpshooting4, etc. Should be no reason he can't hit one single time on a crummy Sansha

what gardes are you using? t1? t2? navy?

do you have atleast 2 omni links? t1? t2? faction?

were you shooting at a sansha incursion spawn?

was the frig flying into orbit range or was the frig already in orbit when you started shootting?

if the answer to any of the last 2 questions is yes, then gardes, (even faction bonused navy gardes) will have problems tracking frigates on orbit. if you want to snipe frigs with gardes, you need atleast 2x omnilinks and you need to start attacking the frig while they are on falloff, so their angular velocity is reduced due to their distance.
