I'm doing the mission "In the Midst of Deadspace". Just finished 1 of 5 and the next mission is a courier one. Problem is it is 5 jumps into low sec. I have a Helios that should be able to do it but the mission time is 34 minutes. Plus I have heard that these missions are usually a trap because they know the agent sends pilots into this area. Is this true and should I just go for it? In addition, is this mission worth the chance of getting caught. I don't have much experience traveling through low sec.

If its something you can fit into a frig class hull then you have very low chance of being caught. Just fit mods to align quicker to make it extra safe

It will fit in my Helios. Here is the set up for the Helios. It is mostly for exploring. Is there anything I need to change on it to give it a better chance? Thx

Buy a fast, agile frigate, put in nanofiber nternal structures and possibly a warp core stabilizer. As soon as you jump, warp off and you should be fine - frigates are pretty hard to catch wihout a warp bubble and generally not worth the hassle.

If you o get killed, remember, you can always buy a new ship :)

C'mon Zorn it's not that bad! The adrenaline alone makes it fun!

Make sure your clone is up to date!

Drop the exploration stuff and add more tank as well.

Your absolutely right Orlacc! I'm being a pu**y about this and should just dive right in. Already switched to a lower clone and I'm ready to dive in. Let ya know how it turns out.Ugh

most lowsec is pretty damn safe. just a few systems where smart bomb camping and whatnot happens often. usually can see that kinda thing on the map.

drop everything but the cov ops cloak, mwd and fit 3 x warp core stab to your helios. If you can fit some tank you can, but I use my buzzard with cov ops cloack, mwd(never use it) and warp core stabs and have yet to be caught in ls. Smart bombing BS are going to be your only downfall.

EDIT.. if you need some extra cargo space, fit cargo expanders to the low. Just keep at least 2 warp core stabs.

Pull the co-processors for either warp-core stabilizers or Tech II nanofibers, depending on how confident you are that you can slip through gate camps, and offline your probe launcher, analyzer, and codebreaker; for a low-sec courier mission, nothing matters except cloaking and moving.

If you jump into a system which is gate-camped, you may want to warp off in an unexpected direction, to some celestial or belt; when you hit the warp-to-zero icon, hit your cloak hotkey the moment you hear Aura's voice or see the camera-shake indicating your warp drive's engaged. Also, when you hit the jump icon for your outgoing stargate, manually decloak when you're almost there, because sometimes, the cloak will mess up your jump out and leave you sitting still and uncloaking at the gate, which you do not want if there's a gate camp there.

And the time limit shouldn't be a problem; the only thing that can outpace a Helios in warp would be an interceptor.

The guy said all was well and thanks. Dweebs who just read the header then decided to pleasure us with there builds. And of course the usual (myself included) had to add to it.
