Right I'll start this thread...
How there can be a storm in a shadow? Shadow in a storm sounds much more plausible.
The name doesn't really make sense - surely you had some motivations to come up with such lame name ?

well...
In the end I just wanted a name which is different from the 100k other names in the game. Something what people remember while still being easy enough to spell. Finding name which didn't really make no sense to anyone else but had meaning to me was a nice bonus.

This is part of my bio and the actual brain fart from where "grey" and "storm" actually originated.

"There are many stormy moments in everyones otherwise so colorless lives. We all make decissions, good and lil less good. Each choise will change our tomorrow. I have some alts on this account. Each of them carry different extension. This one is "shadow" because it is the accounts main character and shadow happens to be something I carry with me most of the time.

So there you have it... story of Grey Storm with a shadow.

I evolved this char for one purpose. To counter another "The" who has placed himself above the game and the people in it. I feel we need someone to take him on and a "countername" was neccessary.
No-one else had it.

Arklan is my first name. been using it online since the mid 90's when i thought it up somehow or other. i honestly don't recall... in about 2005 i legally changed my real name to it becuase of several occurences at work where people tried to email me, for example, and couldn't find me in the address book, since arklan was, at the time, a nickname.

In all of the puns "Jones" goes by the standard definition;



Cipher means many things, including zero, and the act of encryption. The weed circle, and the MC circle in hip hop are both called the Cipher. It also means someone who is insignificant.

I wanted to be an ewar pilot when I started, hence Cipher Jones.
Puff puff pass ******. Hence Cipher Jones
I planned on being rich in game and not wanting for anything, hence Cipher Jones.
Clearly the dopest MC in New Eden, hence Cipher Jones.

I mistakenly thought that epeen was synonymic with mild mannered, self deprecating and agreeable, which I might humbly say describes me perfectly.

By the time I realized my error, I was stuck with it.

Actually, not a huge fan of my name. Lotta random people convo asking "rus?"

I wish I could change my name--just once--to something that really defines me.

Now as for my name. Well for one I am a geologist and I love obsidian, one of my fav volcanic rocks. As for hawk, well hawk was a nickname i picked up a long time ago as it is a shortened version of my name.

My very first Eve character was Surfin SeaOtter (I surf and I see sea otters all the time) and he needed a pirate alt, then one day some alcohol was involved and Surfin displeased me and he was dispatched so the alt became the main. There's also a Surfin's Carebear running around somewhere but I sold him on the character bazaar a long time ago.
