Ship choice?

TL;DR: Proteus or passive 'Cane for C1/C2?

Some buddies are moving into a C1 or C2, not sure yet, they've been day-tripping and want to find one to call home. I've been asked to join up with them, which sounds p cool since I enjoy the wormhole experience. Aside from my friend (and his alts), he's got two n00b friends of his to join us in the hole, so we'd be a pretty small group.

Given the circumstances, should I bring my Proteus into the hole or should I just build a passive shield 'Cane? If I go with the 'Cane, should I use artys or ACs? What's the minimum omni DPS tank needed for a C1 or C2? Min DPS?

Yes, I can afford to lose the Proteus, but I'd rather make some profit before I do. I also have some experience with wormholes although I would have to say I'm still fairly new, since I've mostly day-tripped. No, I can't fly a Drake (well) and the last time I ran WHs I was using a passive T2, L4-ready Drake on my alt (what I sold), which is why I'm asking all these questions.

TIA

E: Nevermind. After playing around with pyfa it seems that the Drake is the clear choice, even with my terrible missile skills.

Rule of thumb if you can do it just as efficiently in a cheaper ship then that's the way to go. will save you many sorrows when the inevitable cloaky t3 deckloaks on you while your doing sites :)

tried to do some c1 anoms solo in blaster talos on sisi and it worked quite well (didn't do any wh stuff before, 2 mar + cap booster). i think if you're in group and it's c1 a cheap fits would be some buffer tanked taloses + exequor(s)

Good advice, guys. After further consideration, I may end up taking out a passive Ferox because it does almost everything I need it to and it's dirt cheap. Either way, it's pretty clear I don't need the Proteus.

Please use the proteus and put as many deadspace modules on it as you can fit, thanks.
