Thank you for the quick reply. But, you have got to be kidding me!

I was *JUST TOLD* by a GM that THIS THREAD was the "official" thread.

It's no wonder why things are so messed up. There's definitely a communication breakdown at CCP.
I apologise for the confusion. The thread you linked is the feedback thread for a dev blog CCP Soundwave wrote 2012.05.23. He then wrote more dev blogs 2012.05.27, 2012.05.30 and 2012.06.04, and we are currently using the latest thread from 4 June that I linked.

Apology accepted. Thank you for pointing me to the correct thread.

I would like to control my space ship from a joystick, besides that , you can get rid of the buttons.
People fear change that's one the problems of EVE.
Main problem of old games, the old players fear the game change in a way they won't recognize from what they did when they started.
I support new UI changes to make our lives easier.

Euhm, sorry to bother again but that thread is rather long (69 pages atm) and I don't know whether my main issues have been reported yet (I assume they have). Is there some kind of official list of currently known issues anywhere?

WRONG.....but the ONLY good thing about cq is that you can DISABLE it, which is what it has been since the day they released that COMPLETELY USELESS garbage they call "cq"

Any chance we can get an update on adding the date back to the neocom in any thread? Thanks!

The old UI was god awful and poorly designed for the job. The new UI is a major improvement - the issue is people learning it so they can use it as fast as the old one. Im already a ton faster than I was with it, and thats because I had a *gasp* open mind about it. Keep up the good work on the UI CCP, just dont lose steam on the patches.

Is that sarcasm? or are you just confused?

This new ui is slower, and has SO MANY other problems that have been posted about so I won't repeat them here.

lol... more like a 'lack of a mind', but nice try.

This sentence would suggest that you agree that this ui is a mess and your hoping ccp can keep up with all the patches that are going to be required to even get it close to the usability that the UNBROKEN previous inventory was.

I think they are trying to eliminate the need to use right-click drop-downs in EVE.
Indeed we want to reduce their number. I just had a demo today from CCP Punkturis and CCP Sharq of a new UI control made recently by CCP Colgate that will reduce the need even further to have right-click menus or pop-up windows. It will first be used in an iteration of the War Deceleration and War Report UI.
Oh lordy, why?

The contextual right-click is such an easy and consistent behavior across both the EVE client and your customers' operating systems that changing what was once easy to access to some other non-standard convention seems like product sabotage. When people use the EVE client and aren't sure how something works, they right-click the object in question. Most of the time an answer is provided via the contextual menu that pops up. Removing this ubiqutious convention seems counter productive and a sure-fire way to royally **** your colleagues (GMs) and those who answer petitions.

Question: Is CCP targeting consistent UI conventions to replace the contextually generated right click menus? If yes, what is the convention and could CCP please do some demonstration videos (i.e., user education) to help people adopt and adapt to the new conventions?

I ask because with the new Inventory UI implementation, we have multiple means for getting stuff done. That includes click, double click, shift-click, shift-double-click, right-click and probably some others that I'm missing. To say that this is confusing as **** is an understatement. Furthermore, there is no one guide or tutorial on how this elementary client interface change is intended to work.

Is it unreasonable to ask for CCP-generated documentation how this far-reaching change is intended to work?

Finding corp hangers closed every time I dock is just plain bull crap.

CCP - Go frickin' service some POS's and realize how messed up this UI STILL is.

Incarna - Newest business example of mismanaged capital. CCP - Continuing to gank independent PI producers every day

There s a theory going on that UI was designed to make life harder for bots.

My guess is that UI design was made by people who dont play eve.

Hence it makes life harder for bots and people alike, intentionaly lacking basic UI features.

Also if you genuinly complain about UI, you are of course a botter!
That adds foam ear plugs to an already deaf corporation that reacts only if you threaten their financial life.
