Is there a tool for finding the most demanded product in a region?

yes, im going to answer this for you 100% as honest before you get trolled by everyone else... Do your own research on products, if we give you an answer or a program, dont you think everyone would be selling/building it? thats the fun part of the market/industry... doing research and finding it on your own (whats fun in us giving you the answer?) will tell you one thing though,... if you see a good deal, best bet is someone else has too =)

I feel like trading is such bad money compared to missioning though. It takes a long time to sell and I'm barely making enough profit. At least not more than level 4 missions.

Well, currently the most in demand item in the galaxy is probably oxygen isotopes. :D

your not doing something wrong then... you can easily turn 100m into billions in a month or less (depending on how much effort you put into it)

To give you a little useful information, take a look at the price history of things. Maybe take a look at the data dump that was trialled recently, to see what was selling in a region. Of course, items that move a lot tend to have a low profit margin.

Diversify. Better to be selling 5 different things, than having five times the stock in a single item. And always reinvest your profit, until, at least, you get into bigger sums.

Stock a station with everything someone might need to fit out a type of ship that's for sale there. People are lazy. They'll pay slightly higher prices, if they don't need to go round five different stations to kit it out.

Think about the places you're stocking. Find somewhere where people mission out of and stock it. Stock places near null-sec bridges. Exploit the laziness of your fellow players.

But should I focus on selling at hubs? Should I focus on spreading out my orders to different regions?
Right now I spent alot of money on 1 product that's not really bought but has good profit and do it between 2 regions. Any more advice?

If you're just starting out, buy in Jita, sell in a different region. and not in one of the smaller trade hubs. Pick a one or more stations and stock them.

Don't go with a single product. The key thing to remember is cashflow. Making 50% profit on an item that sells once a week generally doesn't stack up against an item that makes 10% but sells in a day. When you have more ISK and more order slots, you can afford to have things sitting, because the ISK is flowing at a similar rate (and it's easier on you), but not at first. Money tied up in things that sell infrequently isn't earning you anything.

100 isk at 10% a day is 177 after a week
100isk at 50% a week, is only 150..

The isk must flow.

If anything, the only effect the Goon antics are having on oxygen isotopes is actually decreasing the demand for them.

And @ OP, trading in 5 words: Buy Low, Sell High, Diversify.

that is a myth. trading is no doubt profitable, but unless there is a shortage of something or a huge war you'll never turn 100m into billions in that amount of time.

Part time trader:
100 million or so in seed, on the 16th of last month.
Currently, around 100 million liquid (Selling BCs tends to increase your liquid cash when you're offline) and a half billion in sell orders.

Not /great/, but not too shabby either.

Minimum daily % profit required to turn 100m into 1b in a month (30 days) is 8. That's compounding though.

Tough but not impossible.

10% daily on 100m compounded for 30 days gives you a little over 1.7b

Could do 8% daily flipping comodities in jita with copious amounts of coffee, 0.01 RSI and no life.

Would be cutting it close though, flipping your entire wallet twice every 24 hours :O

www.evemarketeer.com: Actually, I do not have it yet, but it is so ridiculously easy to add that it would be a crime not to if you need it :P

Look for it under the trade information menu in half a day or so :)

One side effect of adding it to eve Marketeer. Anyone can get the same information as you. So what's in high demand, will likely have a pitiful margin.

You can make ISK off of any item at almost any cost. how much and how long are the variables.

2 general requirements. Patience and knowledge.

P.s. I would be willing to help you more, mail me in game if you would like. and is your name reference to Ghost in the shell? (by far above and beyond the best of any animation ever)

Very much so.

In any case, the awesomely most demanded items have now been added to EVE Marketeer, though I have to admit that I find it very difficult to see what you could possibly do with this information Roll

Most things in high demand, like tritanium, already have a pitiful margin ;)
