Providence region - lots of signature scanners?

I’ve resubbed a few weeks ago after a break. Since back in the game I've mostly done some lowsec exploration.

Since I’m no longer KOS for CVA (I had the lingering taint Smile from being part of Suddenly Ninjas once), I also hopped in a frig and have been looking around at Providence. I equipped a scan probe launcher so I could check out – but not run yet – the frequency of cosmic signatures.

I find that there are *less* signatures per system, on average, than in lowsec. There must be a contingent of Provi dwellers who runs the radars, mags and unknown plexes during the day so that by the time I get to scan them at night, they are mostly gone? Not that I begrudge them this – it is up for grabs to whoever gets to them first. But still, I find it strange. That would mean that lowsec is far less explored than Providence. Is this a function of the NRDS policy making the population of explorers quite high?

I'm no scanning expert but apparently it no longer works that way - sites are respawned throughout the day.

Not sure how long you have been gone for but Provi also took a huge Hit when the 'true sec" nerf hit null space

I spent a few months in a provi corp and can say there are a lot more PVE'ers than PVP'ers. Generally the locals will scan down every sig after dt, and as a new TZ comes online it will be rescanned and all sites run. Ontop of that many HS PVE'ers will go to provi to do exactly what you are doing due to relative safety. Best thing to do in Provi is finda system that has an Ihib with upgrades, just jump in and hit your on board scanner, if there are lots of anoms its safe to say they have an ihub with upgrades. Then just run the anoms. Also these systems have a better chance for higher DED re spawns.

Thought that probably was the case. Dang!

What else is NRDS around the EvE universe?

The person that posted the information you're quoting is wrong. Sites respawn all day. I've been so lucky sometimes as to get respawns in the next system over on my routes.

If sites didn't respawn all day, you'd see a lot of rage on these forums. As it is, you simply see a vocal minority of people that don't understand random or statistics.

Actually, I think his point was that each wave of people coming on in their own TZ will create a new wave of people emptying the systems. Your point is still completely correct though, sigs respawn when they're run, regardless of DT.

Also, @OP, any NRDS systems will have the same issue. Carebears will flock to NRDS, that's what it's designed for. Get yourself into a good nullsec alliance instead.

Never said they didn't re-spawn. I said they were scanned after DT, and then will be contentiously scanned throughout the day as new TZ's come online. This btw happens in most populated areas of null as they are safer to run and mine. Roaming gangs will need probes to find you.

Eh, your original post made it sound as if, as a result of people scanning sites down after DT immediately and then on new TZ shifts, one would not be able to scan them down themselves, as if they were depleted.

Providence is overcrowded ... you wont find much around here unless you are camping systems after DT , i find more plexes going into catch than in povi .

That's because we don't run our plexes since we are spending too much time roaming into provi and other places. Blink

Why the hell would you trust a CVA lap dog? :/ You never know when those lovely stealth bombers will pop out and **** you :)

O.o Anyways, who the hell thinks NRDS is any fun :/

It's not what your Alliance can do for you... It's what you can do to them before they realize you really work for the almighty WormHole God, BoB...

Nope, that's just because you can't even do some PvE without blobbing, so you all are in the same systems Big smile
Man, it's so boring to roam catch and find 6 empty systems before any full one Sad

But yeah, there are so many people in Provi that you can assume signatures are covered in every TZ...
