Some seriously aggressive buyers in Amarr for morphite. The price graph for domain looks to have hit a floor and even shows a little bit of an upward trend on the 5 day average.

I put in a speculative buy order today at the highest price and within 3 hours I was about 20th down the list and about 100isk/pu behind.

20 buy orders up in three hours with about 0.3 million units between them (about the daily average volume)

Sell orders in Amarr have stopped being the cheapest in the region (usually a good indicator that prices are starting to rise), and most of the buy orders look to be playing the .01 isk game, with hardly any of them being filled to any significant degree.

Looks like a little bit of confidence is seeping back into the ore market, but probably a bit to early to tell if demand is outstripping supply.

This is somewhat unrelated, since I'm sure the current price spike is little more than market manipulation, but won't ring mining increase the price of minerals like morphite and zydrine significantly?

If miners, even in small quantities, swap from mining in grav sites to ring mining surely that would significantly decrease supply of those high end minerals? At least until the price rises to make it a viable alternative to mining technetium in whatever quantities they can in ring mining sites.

Not trying to bump the price, I dabble in trading and speculation relatively little. Just genuinely curious, and I don't understand why it hasn't been mentioned on the forums yet given the rampant speculation that occurred with the drone region changes.

I'm probably missing something obvious, since I'm not a miner, but it's something that has been bugging me for a while.

Ring mining is to be part of an industrial revamp. It could include a buff to mineral/ice mining to help maintain balance. We just do not know.

Ahh, that would make sense thank you. I hadn't considered that they could increase yield to compensate.

Looks like I'd better keep an eye out for dev blogs Lol

Sell orders in amarr are now at 11.5k, buy orders just broke 7.5k, that's 750isk/unit rise in the last 48 hours, with volume in the last three days well below 100k units in domain.

hope it carries on rising, unlike megacyte which had a little burst in activity and settled down again.
