Fun facts for Romania:
- consensual acts between same-sex adults in private were only legalised in 1996
- law which criminalised public manifestations of homosexuality was repealed in 2000, law against discrimination put in place
- age of consent standardized to 15 regardless of genders involved in 2002 (used to be 15 for heterosexual and 18 for homosexual)
- lesbians allowed to have IVF in 2005
- men that have had sex with men are still forbidden from donating blood, repealing that is stuck in legislative bickering
- same-sex couples can not get married and can not adopt children as a couple
- almost 98% of the country identified as some Christian denomination (almost 87% as Eastern Orthodox) while barely over 0.1% identify as non-religious or atheist

France, for instance, has 33% of survey responders giving either atheism, agnosticism or another lack of belief in supernatural powers, and only 34% believing that a "God" exists.
Sweden has 23% believing in any particular god, 23% believing in nothing, and 53% holding what would traditionally be called esoteric beliefs.
Several other EU countries are not that far behind in terms of non-god-belief, but others (like Romania, Portugal and Greece) drag the average stats down, with the EU average at 52% belief in any specific deity and 18% no belief in anything at all, rest claim belief in odder things that are not any particular deity.

In contrast, in the USA, only around 15% claim no religious affiliations, roughly 6% to 9% of people in the USA claim they do not believe in the existence of a deity nor any other supernatural force, and under 2% explicitly identify as either agnostic or atheist.

Fun additional facts :
Israel has 55% identifying as "secular", out of which 41% "non-religious", and of that, 31% say they do NOT believe in "God".
Japan has one of the lowest crime rates in the world, and 65% of its population does not believe in any deities (55% don't even care about Buddha).
Germany has an even lower crime rate, and around half of its population does not believe in any deities, with a quarter identifying as either atheist or agnostic.

Bottom line, if atheists (and agnostic, non-believers or "seculars") don't fill polls or census data to that extent, it's on a per-country basis, not worldwide. Worldwide, they fill questionnaires just fine.

So when is CCP going to get around to fixing this?

Yup... as political argument it will fail because the separation of church and state forbids any president of encouraging sexual preferences based on religious beliefs. Kid needs to understand that people are free to believe whatever they want. Freedom of religion is key to any state's success...

Look at the Roman empire. They tolerated the religions of the places they conquered, even respected many of them. And geez there were a lot of gays. Nobody cared about that... all they cared about was to gank/wardec/invade everybody else and they did pretty darn well for 600 years. In fact, if it wasn't because the dumbarses made their plumbing out of lead and went crazy, they might still be the ruling party.
