Hello Folks,

A new ios app for all those diehard pvp'ers has just been released!

Description:
An application that allows any user to dynamically retrieve relevant data about EvE Online players. It's mostly suited for PvP. Know thy enemy.

It's free! Just download and install it on your iphone and you are set to go!
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/eve-id/id530503656?l=nl&ls=1&mt=8

Please review this new app and let me know if you think it's useful. If you like it please write a review if you find the time. I am already planning a next version that can do even more!

It is not useful, also, very buggy.

It would be useful if I could look at recent kills/losses and the fits.

Haven't tried as I do not have an iPhone, but what the hell kind of useful information is it going to give if not recent kills/losses?

It gives you the exact statistical data as is. You can emulate functionality online here:

Would it be possible to include an auto-complete option or partial string search? When you're about to engage every second really counts.

Autocomplete would be a cool feature indeed. I will also add more stats in the next version and a mute button for the sound. Please keep sending me tips people and things will get baked into the next versions.

I actually found this app the other day and was giving it a go.

A lot of the times it would pull incorrect kills/losses for pilots (i know because I checked), and sometimes wouldn't find the pilots at all. The interface is a little wierd, needs clearer buttons.

But yes, it would only be useful to any pvper if it showed actual KMs.

Other useful things would be corp history, and perhaps the "known associates" like battleclinic has (don't know if this is possible).

I just tried it out. I'll give you props for making the effort, but i find the app only marginally useful.

One issue is that well, its my iphone. Keyboard is not as quick to type on.

Second, due to the iphone's desire to auto correct, it often screws up a users name as many pilots have some odd names.

Lastly, I can copy paste someone's name from the game into a browser (that I keep up at all times) and pull the toon up on evewho, or eve-kill, or battleclinic faster than I can type the name into the phone. The data from these websites is far more comprehensive and faster to browse on my full monitor.

Again, cool attempt. I just dunno about the overal utility of it.

I have found the same problem with some players. That however is not my problem because I pull data through the API of eve online in combination with battleclinic. I have no clue as of yet where things strand. Working closely with bc devs to get things rolling in a better stronger faster more complete fashion.

You should totally switch off your autocorrect feature on your iphone lol!

Funny but it misses the point. The autocorrect isn't the main issue.

I have just downloaded this app on my 4S.

I do like the idea, but have to agree with the guys above.

At present there is not enough information to be able to identify if the pilot is a threat or not. Types of kills / losses is a must I reckon rather than just an overview of how many kills and losses.

This could turn out to be a fantastic app mate if more functionaility is put into it, which I appreciate will take time as it is a new app.

I would also make the interface a LOT cleaner. Get rid of the Eve Online background and use smooth solid colours, blacks, grays etc.

Also, Is it possible to search for the pilot by clicking "Return", if you do this at present it just goes to a new line.

And one final thing, when on the pilot information screen, the lines of text seem to overlap each other and the font doesnt look great on the high res screen of the 4s.

All constructuve critisism mate, I am sure the app will get there, I will keep it on and keep updating and see where you go with it.
