EDIT:

I have decided to retract the argument as it does not contribute in any way to this topic and your politically charged, self-distancing speech is in need of a great deal of correction. If you are truly seeking to discuss rather than politicize, feel free to engage me in a private venue or in an altogether different topic.

I found your view on the matter interesting, Mr Gessenier.

Knowing without reading it ?

Sometimes, past performance is an indicator of future results.

An indicator of probabilities, nothing more. What we are speaking about here is a case of "putting words into one's mouth" combined with "jumping to conclusions", but a more exact term would be an old gallente one : "procès d'intentions". No need to mention the negative undertones behind it and the rhetoric fallacies that are very close to usual ad-hominem. In any case, what Ms Halete said above speaks very poorly of herself.

It has long been known that Dam-Torsad is the place for baroque decadence and hedonism. I doubt that in the matter of Madame Vitalia’s party—which I did not attend—a case of Gallentean cultural imperialism was at work. I feel that the Amarrian society has in many ways become a place for outward, hypocritical piety.

You know, the stereotypical Gallenteans I know from my school books enjoys himself, but later he falls prey to drugs and ends his life in hollow vanity. The difference between him and a “liberal” holder is that the latter is deceiving, scheming and presenting an outward appearance of good while concealing its opposite.

Orgies are part of Amarrian upper class mainstream. I applaud moral reformers like Mr. Shutaq and Mr. Blake, but I firmly believe that you should clean your house first before you undertake any greater task…

This discussion is living proof that capsuleers are able to argue about literally anything.

I find your lack of generalization insulting! It's not just capsuleers that argue about literally anything, and further, I believe that capsuleers argue about everything!

In all seriousness though, it's just an example of human nature. I also can't help but think the "question" put forth by the OP was completely and utterly rhetorical in the first place.

In short, everyone behaved exactly like stereotypical Gallenteans, while having stereotyped Gallenteans in the past. Why?

Everyone does it, but Gallenteans do it in the street and scare the horses.
