Grav Sites & Electric Clouds: Now randomized?

My main worked an Isolated Core Deposit for hours until just before downtime. No cloud present.

Returned to same site after downtime. Electric cloud now present.

In your experience, is this a common event? Wondering if a new, randomized challenged has been added to life in w-space.

Maybe someone roamed in earlier in the day and got to it first?

I wasn't clear. Apologies.

Had been in the grav site for extended time, leaving about 20 minutes before D/T. During entire time, belt showed no unusual activity. No electric cloud present.

After D/T returned to the grav site. Same BM to get there, same asteroids present. However, the grav site now had an electric cloud attached to it. Cloud generated after D/T.

AFAIK electric clouds have been attached to certain grav sites when the sites first spawned in w-space. There was a cloud or there wasn't.......
-- Could this be a stealth tweak to w-space grav sites & random generation of electric clouds?
-- Is my grasp of how these electric clouds behave grossly inaccurate?

electric cloud? ive been in wh space for some time now but never knew about this? tell me more?

The cloud sometimes does not spawn when the site is opened, but will after downtime.

And if you start screeching at your friends that there is a ******* bomber or some **** they will wet their pants laughing at you.Roll

Edit - To be clear I have seen this happen a number of times, it only happens in the cursed Isolated Core Deposit. If it hasn't spawned when you first warp into it, expect it after the next downtime.

LOL. Having had my share of bomber "welcomes" in grav sites, I knew that wasn't the case here. Even a bad bomber pilot does much more damage than the damned cloud. LOL

I have only seen it in C2's; and are fairly rare. The 12 months I lived in a C2 I only had it spawn maybe 5 times???

Of course, the first time I ever saw it , it was pretty hilarious Lol
