Leave downtime out of it please. CCP are trying to kill that beast, remember?

The main issue I see with being able to suspend an account is that you deprive CCP of income. If you play for a month at a time throughout a year, you'll pay for 30 days. If you pay for a year, then suspend the account, you're depriving CCP of their rightfully deserved income!

No, I don't really think along those lines, but I've been dealing a lot with the media content people lately. It's easy to slip into this sense of entitlement to income, and the idea that the Government is supposed to help you take money out of people's pockets is just so insidious. Heck, in Canada and France (or is it Germany?) they have a tax on all recordable media because the local equivalent of the MAFIAA has determined that everyone is a copyright violator and should be punished. I figure that if I'm paying a penalty for it through taxes, I shouldn't then be able to be tried in court for the same offence that I've been punished for. Double Jeopardy and all that nonsense.

Actually this is incorrect, we pay for game time but CCP has turned this into training skill time and we the players have accepted this. As customers we should be able to suspend our accounts when we are not playing and the Training skill queue excuses is just a way for CCP to make more isk.
