Id rather see them DO than SAY

I've said dozens and dozens of times on these forums in the past few weeks that I am dissatisfied with Dominion and have been for nearly two years now and the proof is in the pudding that if CCP does not fix or remedy the situation come winter a lot of us will likely see no reason to remain in null sec. Hint: Even Goonswarm is bored with null security.

Apologist, hardly. Stop thumping your pulpit.

Dunno about that mate, you've been busy thumping your pulpit right through the whole thread. Read what you had to say the first time, so stop boring us with more sermons.

What a mundane life you must lead.

classic mendolus, cant win the argument cause he got caught telling people not to do what he's doing an he starts with the attacks lol

There ya go Millia, might be a job there for ya. Obviously you're much smarter and could do things better than the entire 600 staff at CCP.

Maybe if ya leave Eve, the collective IQ will go to postive numbers.

Shut the door on your way out...

PS:

/me still scratching his head about why Millia sits in Rens all day making isk and vehemently hates the game.

/me deduces that Isk may not be for game items?

Poor form for the CSM to be running victory laps IMHO. If you had a role, fine but don't strut.

Actions > Words

CCP can publicly eat humble pie all they like but I won't be racing back with all my subs any time soon. Not only does this new/old list need to be done, a lot of time, money and political capital has already been spent making us all beta testers. Imagine what else could have been done during this time?

The only reason this could be happening is dollars. If revenue was going up nicely do you think Hilmar would be doing an about face?

The best thing to be taken from this is that players can indeed have a strong voice when they decide to act.

Pretty contrite and candid little speech from Helmar. You wouldn't have got this from any other game developer. Encouraging to say the list.

Whatever the outcome of this rethinking process might be, this I want to say.

In all my years both as a gamer and a professional i have yet to see a CEO to bow as deeply as Hilmar did today. For this very public display of humility he deserves respect. It's far more than what we, the players of EVE could have been hoping for looking back at the past months.

Thank you.

A lot of the specifics are things that CSM6 has been stomping its feet about for ages.

Good example: Hybrids.

I literally never shut up about Hybrids. Ever. I eat sleep and drink Gallente.

All that foot pounding had CCP all over it, eh? Don't take credit for something you didn't accomplish.

I gotta tell ya... business is business. I've got 4 accounts that I'm regrettably taking off of auto-pay. I truly love(d) this game. None other like it. But RIFT is holding my attention more than EvE atm. A simple, boring shallow game like that should NOT be able to hold my attention more than this beast.

The CSM is a waste of time.

CCP need to play the game they are developing again, they need to know what it feels like to experience all the ****** bugs that are this game. They need to experience how eve has turned into a game for the risk averse, a game where experience and skill has been cheapened to appease the masses while burning the (now) bitter vets.

Before Goons jump all over this and tear it to shreds, im not talking about you. Not that it really counts for much but i kinda have a soft spot for you guys and what you do.

The only foot stopping you did, was the massive whine when returning from the emergency summit meeting.
But sure, you go ahead and try to take credit for everything now. They don't have a name for the one of whom invented the wheel, why not put yours up for that too while you're at it. Roll

Now that all this raging about FiS is almost done with, we need a new drama topic.

I vote we start raging to CCP that they are not visionary enough, not fearless, that might be enough to push them over the edge ;)

I for one am extremely impressed that a company can put it's hands in the air and say "sorry" in this way.

Whilst not unheard of it is quite rare and extremely refreshing. And while I didn't spill a tear, I did well up a bit. The hairs were up on my arms reading that.

I'm not going to jump on the "hurrah, everything is OK again" bandwagon. Past actions have proved that words can be just....words.

That said. I have been struggling to find any optimism recently and this "letter" has helped steady my nerve. They haven't rectified anything in game yet - but the sheer emotion in Hilmar's post is something I have never seen from a business leader before.

That makes me take notice.

So - thank you, Hilmar for one of the better communications from CCP. I vehemently hope you can pull this off. There is a lot riding on it. I wish you the best of luck.

I will also thank the CSM for their work and involvement in all of this. I appreciate that you must have put a lot of time into aiding CCP with their communications. However...

...stop with the blatant self-promotion - this isn't the time and it makes me want to vomit. The community/CCP should be basking in glory and your "vote for me" antics look seriously cheap.

Still - well done! Haha Lol

Aaaaaaand relax.
