Why DUST 514 is going to be a failure

I hope he doesn't find out there are micro-transactions in Dust. Now that we have seen his grasp of the tech-scene, I'd hate to find out how much he knows about economics.

I agree, even this old man can see the logic in that. Its obvious once the Nintendo Playbox 4 comes out the previous one will be a dead system, everyones gonna throw them in the trash. Every game thats commin out for it from now till trash day is a waste of time obviously.

I too think Dust will basically be a failure for the following reasons:

1: There are a ton of FPS's, There are a ton of Sci-fi FPS's
2: Non-Eve players aren't likely to care about Dust more-so than other FPS releases.
3: Eve players are mostly PC gamer's
4: If CCP is going for something novel / more involved / hardcore with Dust then that FPS audience is also mostly on PC
5: If they aren't going for that, then its not going to have much to stand on over other FPS's, see #1
6: My confidence in CCP to make an FPS that can actually compete on technical or gameplay grounds with others out there is pretty limited. It's not like there isn't some serious investment in FPS's.

Maybe I'm wrong, but we will see. Hopefully it will be successful enough to at least keep the company solvent, and Eve safe.

Uninformed people posting dumb threads. Nothing new in GD.

DUST 514 is being digitally distributed and will follow along side SONYs new generation of consoles. Theres been a handful of the same exact misleading posts you yourself posted, concluding youre the most annoying OP on the forums. Raging about CCP while paying them and claiming you unsubbed your main +23 alt accounts, thats true irony.

If Dust fails, it will most likely be due to CCP's need to roll before they bugtest.
If it starts out with as many bugs as EVE, console players will be breaking their remotes and finding something else to play. Oops

This is true actually. Only the hardcore nutters stuck with Eve through beta and after release. All 6.5K of us :).

First it was PLEX prices, now DUST514. For a boy who was supposed to be quitting, you certainly seem to have a pole up your rectum when it comes to what CCP do with their business don't you? PS4 comes out in 18 months, not 6. DUST will be compatible with PS3 and PS4, updates will be issued for free unless CCP decide to just recode for the PS4 instead and through it all, you will undoubtedly continue to post your inane tripe on these forums.

So what is next on the "NickyYo wants to whine about....." list? Perhaps the cost of petrol? Maybe it will be the average wait time for a caterpillar to turn in to a butterfly? Or maybe you will just vanish inside the event horizon of your own ineptitude and save us all the grief.
