Is there any other way to increase your load capacity in an Obelisk.

Money is better than poverty, if only for financial reasons.

Other than what?

You can use giant secure containers and train the freighter skill to V, other than that.. Not that I know of.

Nope, skills and freight containers. In the case of minerals you can buy certain ships or modules and refine them at your destination, this apparently saves space. I never use that tactic though, too much work.

You can't use giant secure containers in any freighter. The only Unpacked Container you can put in a freighter is the General Freight Container which has a capacity of 120,000m3 and takes up 120,000m3 cargo space.

So your only option is the slog up to Freighter V Big smile

I think you can do it if you courier the... ~300 full cans to your freighter from an alt, but I've never tested it.

Another way is to train Caldari Freighter 4 instead of Gall Freighter 5.

I've never thought about couriering cans, so dunno if that will work or not, I'll have to try it, but saying that, the thoughts of filling 300 GSC's is Ugh

You can't put unpackaged GSCs in a freighter. Thank God.

@OP Short of operating in null sec, how often would you actually choose to haul more than 900,000m3 of cargo?
At current prices, even a full load of Pyerite is getting close to break even for gankers. Anything more valuable is going to make you a fat juicy target.

I actually haul ice for some friends but as much as there mining I would like to haul more. I understand the gank possibilities but I usually have an escort when I haul big loads even in highsec. I didnt know that the freighter V skill increased your load capacity though so I thank all that replied and helped.

I do use freight containers but I only put valuables in those so nobdy can scan me down and see what im hauling.

Why wont they atleast put some low slots on the freighters for either expanded cargo maods or overdrive injectors because damn this Obe is slower than politicians during an election year.

Seriously? You want a Bigger hold then a Freighter? Get another freighter (or rent another freighter+pilot, courier contracts ftw).

And cans don't work the way you think they do. Have a friend cargo scan you with and without your stuff in cans to see why.

While you are at it with the alt cargo scanning you, have a freind/alt in a gang web you after you have initiated warping. That makes you instawarp sideways, makes traveling much faster...
