frigate hull for gallente exploration

so i'm looking for something that will fit into all the serpentis plexes that my tengu is too fat for. is hawk a good choice or should i not bother with light missiles?

I should buy an Ishtar.

this is specifically about 1/10 and the other combat sites that don't allow a tengu to enter. so i want max applied dps, not a salvager.

I should buy an Ishtar.

I use ishkur for that. It has utility high and 5 small drones so can easily kill anything up to the BC size. Enough mids for codebreaker, AB and cap recharger.

A Worm will have more applied dps if you are going drones.
I find the Harpy a very nice exploration ship too.. I get a kick of doing Serpentis 4/10s with it, so 1/10 should be a piece of cake... blasters can 1 shot most frigates (and break the tank on the 4/10 Overseer BS) but 125mm Railgun II will give you more range and will make the plex go faster... Other than that.. a Wolf? Load Phased Plasma and Serpentis frigates will melt... No idea on a fit tough

a worm with drone damage mods sounds like a good idea... i guess it's off to the theorycrafts for me...
edit: one last question: are hammerheads worth it or should i stick with hobgoblins?

No it is not worth it ( on Ishkur/Worm).

You could only use : 5 hobs or 1 hob + 2 hammers. 5 hobs are better in both speed/tracking and dps.

Confirming that the Ishkur is an epic exploring frig. No real ammo use, plenty of tank, and a nice little sig tank. And if you fit it just right, you can even fit a T2 DDA to the thing.

Some day I swear I'll convince you to actually post these frigate fits you reference. Not that I doubt, I just don't do high sec exploration and don't know where to even start....

Here's my most recent Ishkur fit, since DDAs came out. It's shield tanked because I usually stay in Min space, so the base Exp resists are important.

6.2k EHP and 56 DPS tank vs Angels (with 39m sig, it's enough to run anything in Angel highsec except the Vigil). And it can deal153 DPS with all 5s (100s with Warriors alone).
