That's funny, last time I cloaked in 0.0, it was because I was outnumbered and outgunned and didn't want to end up on the killboard of yet another adult-sized child with a sense of entitlement.

I remember actually being there too.

I'm afraid, you're wrong.

Cloaking is working as intended. For years.

And no, you won't ever be able to place decloak probes, sonar modules or whatever comes to your desperated mind and you will never ever see "cloak fuel". Deal with it.

And yes, I like to educate people.

Sadly, CCP has been making noises about caving to the anti-cloaky crowd lately. Seen a few quotes from Soundwave about how they are thinking about ways to 'solve' the 'afk cloaky problem'

So if we can't convince them that its not a problem, they will likely be doing something to nerf this tactic. And knowing them, probably something totally ******** that is going to destroy long term deep cover infiltration ops, as well as cloakyfags.

You can make a discussion, really?

An AFK-Cloaker is very Dangerous, only AFK -Cloaker say they are harmless. And the name AFK-Cloaker is only a name. They stay for days by your side and wait till you accept them as normal. Some take houres and some take days, because you will play the game.
The only Chance to get them is a little bit of luck or go to the garden, drink a few beer, enjoy your BBQ and ignore the strategic / military or industry lvl.


An Industrial Core need fuel, a siege-module need fuel, to jump need fuel, why not cloaking?
A Fuel-Bay for 3 houres, or a Skill to scan them when they move or warp, because they jet energy.
Lvl 1 allows scanning of a warp jet and lvl 2-5 raise the chance of scanning the move jet.

Industrial core provides compression and massive boosts. Jumping provides transportation. Cloaking AFK provides you with no benefit.

if you want to do something about it take a page out of Pangu Coalitions books, they have been the only threat so far.

Of course, if they nerf AFK cloaking people will move to ships moving too fast to be probed out, fit with a cyno and tackle, so even if cloak mechanics were changed, the actual situations people are whining about wouldn't change.

Let me tell you about staying aligned whilst grinding belt rats or anoms, and then never losing a ship to cloakies because you just warp out if they try anything.



Wait, we're still pretending that all this fuss isn't really about people's ratting macros being disrupted, right?

I am a AFK cloaker, and I've never hurt anyone... much.

I kill kittens, and puppies and bunnies. I maim toddlers and teens and then more.
