When to Codebreak, Analyze during Missions

Right, so I'm coming from a casual PVP background here, so bear with me;

I've just started running missions, beginning with Level 1s. I had done this long ago (08-09) briefly, not knowing what the hell I was doing and by the time I moved out to Null for the first time I had all but lost my taste for EVE's PVE game.

Now I'm back in empire, and starting to run missions again. I have a little more direction and a far stronger foundation in the mechanics of the game, so I'm finding it much more enjoyable.

I understand just about all of the basic concepts of mission running barring the use of Hacking and Analyzing modules -- I have no idea when and where to use these things, and as it is an aspect of EVE I have yet to engage in, I am obviously very interested in them.

My question then, is threefold:
A) Are there instances of Hacking or Archaeology during missions and
B) Where do they appear and finally,
C) How do I know when to use them [is there something in-game that will let me know that it's a candidate for either archaeology or hacking]?

Many thanks, Mentlegen.

No.

There might be instances of mining or salvaging, though.

For hacking or analyzing, you'll need to do exploration.

Actually some of the Racial Epic arcs do include some hacking/analyzing.

If you ever get into incursions i know a lot of the Shiny fleets look for a dedicated hacker. But you have to have hacking to 5 or implants. It really helps speed up the OTA sites and you get paid for basically warping in, hacking. If you lose your ship you get reimbursed.

If you want to be that accurate, the tutorial missions do, too. They even have actual probing.

You wont need Hacking/Archaelogy for security missions.

And also some Cosmos missions.

As for knowing which module to use, the agent briefing will usually inform you.

Regular missions don't require the use of those modules.
