Since all this hulkageddon business is going about, I find myself extremely discouraged at mining any longer and I'm thinking of switching my profession to more of a Covert Ops type of ship. Is it possible to refund SP to allocate into other things?

Unless CCP removes the mining skills, then no

no.

You could always just leave the highly populated space you're presumably in, mr. faceless forum alt... or, hell, maybe join up with a corp who still does this "mining op" thing (and protects its miners).

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

likely troll so 0/10

If genuine, just train something else, nobody is forcing you to mine.

No no wasn't trolling, was asking a legitimate question. I guess my questions seem to take the guise of a troll. But in reality it's not. True, I just got to exhumers before this hulkageddon indefinete stuff. >_<

meh, just train some other stuff. I've had maxxed mining skills for like forever, and have barely touched my hulk/mack in about a year...

Same here, full trained mining account, after that branched out.

Also keep in mind, hulkageddon is 1 month, keeps your 11 more months of mining.

Hmz, then move to low populated space, move to null-sec for mining (not as hard as some may say).

Also I want to see them keeping that up, no miners is less minerals getting into game. Less minerals is less stuff to build ships.

Hell, go mine in a small Low-sec dead-end system. It's at least a dozen times safer than mining in High-sec these days.

As long as eve needs minerals(Always) It will need miners(Always).

Nature can find a way so should you. Take a look at the griefergeddon web site they may have some tricks to keep you safe.

Mining may bore me to tears but that doesn't mean some other chap shouldn't be able munch rocks all day if they want to.

Dont stop mining just because now theres some risk associated with it. Some risk is associated with every activity in eve even if its just risk vs reward.

Noir. and Noir Academy are recruiting apply at www.noirmercs.com I Noir Academy: 60 days old must be able to fly at least one tech II frigate. I Noir. Recruits: 4:1 k/d ratio and can fly tech II cruisers.

Having mining skills on your sheet will in no way negatively impact training frigate (race) V, electronics upgrades V, and cloaking IV, which are all that you absolutely need to start running a covops scanner or bomber*.

If you think that's such an overwhelming amount of time investment that it necessitates a dramatic change in fundamental game mechanics by the developers for you to train it, then I have no idea how you have the patience for mining, of all things.

*And change, obviously. Technically torpedoes 1, astrometrics 1, a couple navigation skills to 1 and jury rigging III to equip modules, but that's less than a day total.

You can sell your character, and use the money to buy one focused towards what you want to specialize in.

There is no way of relocating skill points. If you'd like to continue to mine, join a corporation. ^ the post above isn't as stupid as it sounds.
