But I see you guys have taken close to 30 billion isk in a bit over a month. How are you guys supporting this? Are you able to sustain the losses by cashing in your amarr lp?

We've been instructed not to spend LP. T1 thrashers, griffins, and rifters literally cost under 1.5 mil each. We run off donations and loot; Dreddit gave us 10 billion to start us off. I went ratting for an hour last thursday and used the isk to buy 100 griffins for the corp (I swear to god they better be fitted when I get home today). I could probably soley fund all of our ecm and rifter losses without too much trouble. A lot of people carry salvagers on their thrashers for T2 salvage, loot gets donated to the corp. Your faction points feed our thrashers!

Yeah, like 2-3 of us ratting for a little while can pay for ages and ages of free ships for the ship pile.

I think we spent about 3bill of the 10bill buying thrashers and frigs with T1 fittings. Most of us don't fly anything higher than thrasher but we have people flying faction frigs, T2 frigs and even battleships. Thrashers cost under 1mill isk and the whole fitting should cost under 2 mill (1.5mill?). Its really fun because we constantly kill BCs, BS and everything smaller. We have few people with access to ships hanger and those people give ships out as people loose them.

We are just collecting the LP until we get more systems for amarr. LP to isk rate is pretty bad right now so we can't cash in just yet.

Seems like you are doin' it right. Saw your fleet rolling around last night, good stuff.

Too much of the Eve culture is 'elite focused'. Meaning, if you aren't flying the shiniest, then GTFO. Piles of cheap ships doing battle with players that aren't maxed out on their skills is great fun. I salute you joneses.

Hell yeah. Came from null as well back in the day and thought my skills as a leet-fleet-sheep would make me :awesome:. Turns out that actual pew is a challenge and proper fun when every ship in an engagement counts (ie. small gangs <20) ... combined with size restrictions that encourage flying smaller hulls (no more 100% BC/BS!) and the fun factor is elevated even further when losses are much easier to shrug off.

We've been having a blast losing dozens of thrashers a day, chasing the minmatar militia around, and scaring off the local pirate population; in frigates and destroyers- while generally laughing in the face of the try-hards in militia chat that look down on our 'terrible fits' because they don't understand 20 terrible ships > 3 good ships in most engagements.

I'm sure many of us have the skills for T2 guns - but at least IMO - it's ******* pointless to fit a thrasher with 10mil worth of T2 guns when you're just going to get popped in 5 seconds, especially in a blob of 30 other shitfits. With that 10mil I could have another 10 thrashers. A t2 fit guy might take out 3 or 4 of our shitfits by himself - but we'll still be way ahead on the isk ratio. As for the 30 bil, if I had to guess, I'd say most of that were richer players flying expensive ships, and loot in the holds. (or that time scort fit a republic fleet warp disruptor on a dramiel that we looted, while drunk, and gloriously blew it up) Those guys can afford to do that out of their own pocket with plenty to spare

Confirming that you don't need to blow isk on t2 guns/fits every time. From what I've seen the Fweddit guys aren't out solo-roaming looking to prove themselves.

Additionally, I have more fun losing the 10 T1 fits that are still as cheap if not cheaper than 1 T2 fit. If you win, awesome! If you lose, who cares?

Exactly. It sucks ass to lose a T2 fit ship every hour. If you fly a piece of cardboard with nerf guns strapped on, (t1 fit thrasher lolo) you can blow nerds up over and over, and get blown up over and over, and have lots of fun without worrying about isk.

This thread is epic. Much whining at a group of guys who don't really seem to care....very productive.

Got to say that the fweddit guys are pretty cool. They are chill to deal with and not massively stacked with epeen. As for them not being l33t pvp'ers....who the hell is? who the hell cares?

I, personally, would take the attitude of these guys over most of the folks I have met in EvE any day. Keep doing what you are doing fwedditers...I got a crate of chickuns in the cargo of each of my ships (CCP really needs to make an item for that).

Thanks for answering my questions. I definitely agree with you guys on the macro scale. Its much more effective to have 10 t1 dessies rather than 2 t2 fit dessies.

Even on the individual scale I never understood the guys in some of the expensive faction ships warping around wondering why no one would fight them.

I tend to go in the middle. I fly cheaper hulls but with t2 mods - sometimes even more expsenive meta 4 mods for fitting issues.

I think the traditional thinking is that you want to try to fit your ship as well as you can, short of faction/deadspace. Because you want the enemy to underestimate you based on the ship hulls you fly. But you guys seem to be getting allot of fights so I guess if it works, don't mess with it.

And congrats on taking back raa.

Should proberly point out that the T1 fits are only for the free ships

Quite often members bring their own tier 2 fits to fleets just that they are no longer free and more expensive to lose

1. Contested Minmatar systems.

2. Systems in Devoid.

There's a lot of overlap. Ask in Militia chat.

Well its hardly a supprise.

You hav the old school minm and the old school amar who have been fighting for years.

You have some changes that makes it very hard for one side while nothing really changes for the other except cheaper navy ships.

Then you have the new comers who dont know about the history and say theres nothing to complain about for either side.

This thread is a perfect example of how its effected each. And shock horror the side that nothing really changed for (since they dock everywhere hav all their stuf didnt move and hav cheaper lp exchange) say everythings fine and tell the side that has issues that they cry too much - no thinking for one second how it might have been if the tables were turned. and thus ignoring the ballence an sustainability of the whole picture.

The situation is a dice roll on the sides power at the time of the changes. One year ago it would be the exact same forum post just amarr on the winning side saying HTFU and QQ less and minnies saying arrrghuhuh its a mess and we are crippled.

So troll all you like but there are some great posts here and to blindly troll is not helpin, but hey you feel boss so who cares right.
