The game works for solo and friendly play. Youre allowed to multibox. But the game will always be directed at the "multi-player" existance. Otherwise the game will become far too imbalanced (as if its not already) by trying to cater to solo and multiplayer experience.

The simple fix is by playing on more accounts. Simply put; its a Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. Keyword multiplayer.

I play only with one friend in my corp and we field 5 hulks and an orca. We enjoy our playstyle with our alliance.

I would prefer a diffierent simple fix.

Adjust the way that belt rats spawn so that they account for the ships in a belt. Someone in a hulk shouldn't be mining in Hi sec with no risk. Belt rats should spawn based on number and type of mining vessels in the belt, with sec rating of the system having an impact on the frequency that spawns will occur.

The current spwan mechanic is, more then anything, one of the biggest reasons why many people mine in hi sec with T2 barges with no fitting to account for an attack.

Alter the spawns so that players have to actually worry about them. It will change the mentallity that the only thing your supposed to fit on a hulk are cargo expanders, and that mining is a solo proffesion.

To me if a player trains up mining to the point they can fly a hulk they should have already gotten themselves into a serious corp with hauling and orcas.

And if they have done that they should not have problems with Hulkageddon, unless thier corp sucks.

This is an MMO what is with all the people who think everything should work solo?

Got Teamwork??

You must be new. The unfortunate truth about mmos is that dealing with ppl waste your time and limits the amount you make drastically. You are far more likely to profit by finding a nice quiet system and not drawing attention to yourself. The only reason to get into a "serious" corp is the social aspect of the game -- which is its own reward. Just don't delude yourself into thinking that it is going to be anymore profitable.

What happened to playing this game the way any individual wants to play it, within the realities of the gameplay and other players ?
MMO does not mean "I must get married in order to enjoy this game".

Individual choice, you wish to remove it.

If you play alone, you limit yourself, that is true in all MMOs, even in super bear games like WoW.

With all those scam regrutment no wonder peoples play solo.

Eve is a Paranoid universe, the day people stop being so paranoid is the day less people play solo.

Did you ever hear of corp chat? That's where people talk to each other in corps, even if they're solo mining.

Solo mining usually involves a couple of alts. It might surprise you to know that many corps aren't able to run mining ops 24 hours a day. I know, go figure. Some people actually do other things than play Eve, sad but true. Even a big corp does not have that many people on at one time. I was shocked when I joined a corp and learned that some of those people did not want to do the same things I did. I felt wronged.

You should express your outrage at the situation by actually quitting.
